why can't I connect on firefox sync with fennec ?

I put on my username (email adress), my password and my synckey (I tryed wit the "-" and without in the password) and no way, Fennec still does an annoying connect-disconnected routine with "Incorrect username or password" as reason why.

I tryed everything with the same result.

Please help !

The Firefox Sync team has been making some major changes this week, which resulted in some problems both with the server and with the development builds of Firefox and Fennec.

If you are using nightly builds of Firefox or Fennec, make sure that you have updated all of your browsers to the latest nightly (or to the development version of the Firefox Sync 1.6 add-on). There are still several changes being made this week, but things should settle down soon.

If you are not using nightly builds, then you might be affected by server problems. Try again and see if you are able to connect now. If not, try resetting your account (under "Manage Account" in the Sync section of the desktop Firefox preferences). If it still doesn't work, let us know...

I'm still having this problem, even after resetting Sync, and after changing both my password and sync key. I'm using Firefox 3.6 with Sync 1.5.1 on both my laptop and desktop, and am using Fennec for Android 4.0b1.

Update: The problem persists after upgrading the desktop to Firefox 4.0b7.

I am not able to connect the Firefox Mobile Beta on Android to the Sync server. I am using the correct user name and password and key. It just says incorrect user name or password.

Are you still making major changes?

johjeff, are you able to connect using the new "Add a device" method in Firefox 4.0b3 for Android (and Firefox Sync 1.6 / Firefox 4.0b8 desktop)?

I have the same problem with my Samsung mobile phone (Android 2.2, Firefox 4, Desktop is Firefox 4 as well). After typing in the the sync code into my desktop computer my phone can´t connect ("incorrect user name or password"). I resetted the sync-account (2 times), unistalled the Firefox 4 version on the phone and installed it again, tried to connect manually by typing in the sync key, nothing worked, always the same result: incorrect user name or password. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There was a problem with the Firefox Sync server yesterday that probably caused this issue. Sync should work correctly if you try it again today.
