I am switching from Chrome to Mozilla at work. I have numerous work related bookmarks. I exported the bookmarks from Chrome and put them on my desktop. I then opened Bookmarks Organizer on Mozilla and imported them. They are there, but all the links are the same, to some BBC News website (which was not one of my bookmarks at all!) I'm very frustrated and have uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla to no avail.

Did you try using Xmarks? It can synchronize bookmarks between different browsers. Also, can You describe step by step your export and import procedure? Maybe You did something wrong. I did this operation many times and never had this problem.
