Shortcut icons are missing from my Firefox homepage

I always use C Cleaner to clear unneeded my unneeded data once a month. It does not usually affect my Firefox shortcuts on the Firefox homepage. It was also after Firefox had updated to version 158.0 . I did this on Wednesday (14th October) and all of my pinned Firefox shortcuts have gone missing. They have not come back, and no other shortcuts are being shown after I have since visited any websites. What has happened to them? Will this be corrected? Regards John

Using CCleaner on Firefox profile folder is known to be causing integrity issues and data loss. Please don't do it. (Not sure if this can be fixed without having e.g. a backup or a system restore point to roll back to.)

Thanks for your response. I have not had any problems with C Cleaner before (have had for over 10 years). But I will bear it in mind. Thank you.

Yes I agree that CCleaner should be set to not touch anything Firefox related.
