At the turning of every other page an ad pops out from the side.

When I go to the first page of a site no problems. At the second page an ad pops out from either the R or L side of the screen. I have scanned with my virus protection (PC Matic) and have also run a scan on Malwarebytes but nothing was flagged. What would be the suggestions as to do next? [redacted email]

You could try and block popups on sites Settings > then search for Popups
