Was trying to open Duke My Chart to view doctor's appointment and received message this was an insecure site and was unable to open .

Some secure sites like Medical, Government, Insurance, Education seems to want one to use browser recommended by their sites like Edge, Chrome or Safari. This isn't something Mozilla can change since that is a site preferences and best advise is to use their recommended browser to access their site.
