Hi,

TB 115.8.1 on OpenSUSE 15.5, rpm based install. KDE/Plasma.

Had to install MS EDGE, as unfortunately one urgently needed device's firmware based webserver works only very restricted with Firefox. Firefox is defined as default browser. And is used by every apps, except TB.

-> TB opens every link in MS Edge, now. Which is definitively NOT want I want :)

Found this link (German): https://www.torstenkelsch.de/blog/2022/internet/emailclients/den-webbrowser-in-thunderbird-aendern/ which descibes the as it should work way, setting file type based rules for "file type" 'http'. Or also this: https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/hyperlinks-nachrichten-funktionieren-nicht

-> No entry exists for "http", so no settings possible.

network.protocol-handler.external-default was and is still set to TRUE

As "file type" is missing, searched and found this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1330147 which is from 2021:

-> Checked that in fact there's no entry for "http" in my profile's "handlers.json"

As the last mentioned article is pretty old, 3 years, and archived, my questions:

-> is the missing "http" file type a bug? If so, TB in general or specific to my OpenSUSE based version? If so, I report this for OpenSUSE (only) -> If not a bug: Is editing "handlers.json" still the only way to solve this? -> As there's no entry for http, and Firefox is used by all other apps: Why/how is TB calling Edge instead?

Thanks in advance, Michael
