Why don't some Contact email addresses delete in Thunderbird?

Hi,

I was going through my Thunderbird Address Book and culling some contacts I no longer needed.

But some Contacts happily delete and others steadfastly refuse. It doesn't matter how many times I highlight the Contact and click on "Delete", they refuse to go.

It's not a biggie, just mildly annoying.

Any suggestions about his weird situation?
