reinstalling firefox

i have Firefox on my laptop and Firefox browser on my tablet. I am writing this on my tablet. The one on my laptop is a mess - won't open most of the time and when it does, won't look for the sites I want. When i close it, it looks closed but really isn't. Can I delete it and reinstall it without losing my bookmarks because i have the browser on my tablet? This would give me a clean version. I am writing this on my tablet.
