It has been difficult to get to a point to give you feedback. The system is not user-friendly. My complaint is that Firefox is updating about every two weeks. Not only does it take 20-30- minutes every time, I have to go back and reconfigure items. I am getting ready to leave Firefox, if this continues. I am sure no one cares. But, I said my piece.

I'm surprised that your updates take more than 2 minutes and require settings changes. What kind of configuration are you having to do?
Does your internet run slow, or just for the updates?
It's possible your security programs could be the issue.
I will just wait two weeks when I have to install the next Firefox update and see what happens.
