I've copied my old AppData/.../.../Profiles to my new computer. I started Thunderbird, and it created a new default file, in the same directory. ????

No matter what I do, Thunderbird wants to use the new .default file, rather than the one I already had in the directory. In the past, that's all I needed to do, so I'm not sure what step I left out. I was using POP3 on the old computer, if that matters. So how do I get Thunderbird to use the .default file that I brought over?

Solution choisie

Instead of copying the C:\Users\<usernameoldpc>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles folder, copy the C:\Users\<usernameoldpc>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder to C:\Users\<usernamenewpc>\AppData\Roaming, replacing whatever Thunderbird folder may already exist. That will include the profiles.ini file that tells TB to use the profile folder from the old PC.
