When I search in Firefox I get Yahoo7 and loads of useless stuff. What can I do to get rid of Yahoo and activate Firefox? I am using Apple iPad and IOS.

I click on Firefox, type in my query and get back lists of Yahoo7 stuff and codes and letters and numbers. I have used Firefox trouble free for years on all of my devices and connect this problem with an attempt to download another Adobe app on the iPad. Adobe would not complete the download. I already had Adobe Acrobat Reader on the iPad. My Uni suggested that I could access online Uni courses if i downloaded this other version of Adobe. Its been a real problem ever since and I cannot use Firefox at all on the iPad. My phone and Mac both have Firefox without any problem. Thank you for any help you could give !

Hi Giuseppe, Let's make sure your default search is set to Google. Can you try using the instructions in the following article to change your default search engine: Change your default search engine in Firefox for iOS

Hi Chris Thank you very much for helping me. Its been a problem. When I did what you suggested Google was the ticked search engine, but 'search suggestions' was turned on, so I turned it off. Now the problem is different. The search screen using Firefox ( I keyed in 'Metmuseum ), returns a message only from Yahoo. Says " Sorry , unable to process request at this time-error 999.....then pse visit Yahoo Security Centre...problem may be due to unusual problem coming from your ISP ...try Yahoo help centre. Being afraid this may be a virus I have done none of that ! Ive been with Firefox for many years without anything like this happening. Be glad to hear what you think All the best
