emails from eBay arrive with no message body; what is the problem?

When eBay sends me messages the body is missing. I get a header with "to", "from", and "subject"; nothing else. Same happens if an eBay member sends me a message thru eBay--no text. I must log into eBay and check their Messages service to see what the message is about.

Perhaps it is a "plain text" vs "HTML" issue. If so, where is the checkbox to determine which language is in use?

No, account settings don't affect how messages are displayed.

I was thinking about the View (Alt-V) - Message Body As - Original HTML setting, but for me this affects both the Message View and the separate tab/window, so I couldn't see how it affected you. If it's set to plain text I get plain text in both the Message Pane and the tab/window view.

I am aware that some HTML messages don't render fully in the Message Pane, (i.e. the small pane alongside the Thread List pane) so maybe you're just seeing that effect.

Thanks very much for the "Alt-V" tip which in HTML does bring in the message body.

I know there's a control for this somewhere in Tool-Account settings or perhaps elsewhere but I cannot find it. Can you tell me where it is hidden?
