restore previous session stopped working in 41.0.2
See question. Only my custom home page opens when I start Firefox. The other 5 or so tabs that were open the last time I closed Firefox do not open. To get those tabs back I must open history and find each one. Show my windows and tabs from last time is selected in Options/General.
This started happening in the last few days and I assume that it is caused by a new Firefox update. I have tried some of the solutions available by searching but they are not working.

Create a new folder in the Bookmarks Manager to store those links.
You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the sessionstore file(s). Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
Also check the "when Firefox stars" option. Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar.
I find a sessionstore-backups folder with a couple .js files but there are no sessionstore files in the profile folder. How would I cause any sessionstore files to be created?
As I noted above, "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected in Options/General.
I really do not know what is going on. The tabs have not opened for 3-4 days. After looking at the config pages and the profile folder, without making any changes, I restarted Firefox and the tabs are there.
If I close Firefox I now have a sessionstore file, which goes away when I reopen Firefox.
Good. That is what should happen.
