After update I'm no longer able to upload pictures to google/linkedin

After a recent update of Firefox (v 41.0.2) I am not able to upload pictures off my laptop to either google+ or Linkedin accounts? I can achieve this if I use google chrome. This has only become an issue today ( 28/09/2015 ) To confuse more I can upload using the link tab a video posted to youtube into google+ I am not experiencing any difficulties in getting into google or youtube?

I was having the same issue here, however there was a question in the linkedin help pages that said there might be some requirements to the format of the picture:
