lightning default reminder on but events appear with reminder off resinstall and disabling all addons does not change problem

hi all,

just realized that events are being set with the icon showing reminder off, although the default reminder setting is definitely on.

no amount of switching, closing, opening and so on, changes this.

looking back on calendar (3.3.3), I see that even some events from last month appeared this way too, then others set "back then" were fine...and have been until new events set beginning 4/7...which regardless of program setting, are all going to no reminder.

events set previously for later in the month still show a reminder...but anything being set now will not (they are all showing up as gray with red bell icon with line thru it).

per above, no reinstall fixes it...and every add on has been disabled but lightning and still not working.

I have been using thunderbird for years...and for me this is a serious central program and I gotta fix it....help, please.

events that are working are blue..and again, all of these are gray and they definitely do not work

PS just realized..."tasks" do not show up at all, either...

I don't normally use "tasks"...just set all as an "event" but trying to help you to help me, here.....

just discovered that the calendar was set to "trash".

i have never touched this setting before, but when I have been foraging and now see this,...and re-set an event to "home", it appears to be working on that event, now.

i guess there must be a global setting gone haywire...let me take a look.....

i cannot find any global setting..perhaps I am just missing it...but every event wants to default to "trash".

if I manually change it, it works...but this is, of course, an additional step for a very busy setting and I sure would like to find what happened and how to globally change this.

sorry to be thinking out loud here but hopefully this will also help someone else.

well, i should pay myself<g>

anyway, i found a setting which had "home", "trash" and "reply manager".

i deselected "trash" and "reply manager", re-booted the program., and now all is right with the world, to include those that were bad, now are blue and good.

so..sorry I bothered everyone..but this has never happened in all the years I have been loving this program, etc.
