When using Firefox in Windows 7, my browser tab randomly goes to the last web page it was on. I am absolutely sure that I am not accidentally clicking the back button. This glitch also occurs on Chrome, so I doubt it is a problem with Firefox

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean when you start Firefox?

It is possible that an older version of the sessionstore.js is restored.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

The problem occurs when I am browsing. My page will randomly exit and move to the last page visited.
