Firefox cannot see file to attach

I have 9 files in the folder that contains the file that I want to attach, please see the screenshot of Windows Explorer attached. I would like to attach the file "Fracking in Mercury 15-08-13 artcile 2.pdf" but this is not shown in the Firefox attachments menu; please see the second screenshot. I have tried rebooting my PC (running Windows 10 Pro) but the problem does not go away. My Firefox is the latest 57.0.2 (64-bit). What is going wrong and what to do about this?

Please Refresh but do this 1st:

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
