Pocket is built into firefox by default so you don't have to install pocket manually. In firefox 54, you should see the icon along with other addons near the search bar but in 55 it has been moved to URL bar.

Can you update firefox and verify if pocket is present in the URL bar.

I'm on version 54.0.1 and there is no Pocket icon in the URL bar.

As I said earlier the move to the URL bar is in version 55, please update.

How do I find version 55? About Firefox tells me I am up to date.

Updates may still be disabled to investigate issues that have been reported. There is already a Firefox 55.0.01 release, but I do not know whether Firefox 54 users get this offered.

Make sure toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible. Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.

• Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
• "3-bar" menu button -> Customize

• if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window to the toolbar
• if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.
