how do i shut down my facebook page?
I have been trying for years to shut down my email - ...@gmail.com - as well as the facebook attached to it. Years ago it was hacked into and I stopped using it but folk still use it to communicate with me. If I am not using it, you can imagine the miscommunication. Thanks.

Open the old mailbox and do this;
- 1) Change the password now and then.
- 2) set the old mail site to forward all mail to your new site.
- 3) Set up the old account to send a message to all senders that this address is no longer in use, and a way to have them get the new information. Do not include that information as you don't know who will see it.
After a reasonable time, contact the support for the old mail to shut down that e-mail.
