Every time you start Thunderbird, the message area will load your Mail Start Page. You can change the mail start page to any webpage, or set it to a blank page.

Change the start page

1. Click Thunderbird app menu ☰ > Settings.
2. Select the General panel on the left.
3. In the Location field, enter the address of your desired start page.

Set it to a blank page

1. Click Thunderbird app menu ☰ > Settings.
2. Select the General panel on the left.
3. Uncheck When Thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message area.

Restore the default start page

The default start page will welcome you to Thunderbird, provide information about Thunderbird, and provide links for how to get involved, where to donate, and where to get help.

1. Click Thunderbird app menu ☰ > Settings.
2. Select the General panel on the left.
3. Make sure When Thunderbird launches, show the start page in the message area is checked.
4. Click the Restore Default button.

Go to the start page any time

Click the menu button , open the Go menu and choose Mail Start Page.From the Go menu, choose Mail Start Page.
