With my current Firefox profile, Chase.com is broken and looks like the screenshot attached (chase2.jpg). When I go to view account activity, it doesn't display any (chase1.jpg).

If I open up firefox with a new profile, it works fine (chase3.jpg & chase4.jpg).

Things I've tried: 1. Deleting Cache & Cookies 2. Deleting ALL extensions (one by one) 3. Disabled all plugin's (one by one)

Nothing so far has worked. Any help on what specifically could be the setting that is causing this to happen?

You clear all cache and cookies or just the last hour?

Did you try in safe mode?

  • On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

FirefoxSafeMode

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode" Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.

Thank you.

I restarted with add-ons disabled and into safe mode, and the same problem occurs. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Can you make a new profile and see if you still have the problem?

I created a new profile, and that does solve the problem. But the new profile doesn't have my user preferences or bookmarks. Migrating bookmarks is easy, but manually setting up my preferred user preferences is an extensive process, not to mention saved usernames and passwords, etc. Is there any way to resolve the issue on the existing profile without having to customize a new profile?

Yes, try to reset Firefox but you will lose preferences and addons.

You will NOT lose bookmarks, password, history.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

That seems to have fixed the problem. It was a minor pain to re-set up firefox, but I think I've got it all sorted out now. Thanks!
