How to get rid of all these pop up promos !
I have just changed my browser and search engine over from Google to yourselves as |i am told it works better with windows XP. However it is driving me mad that everytime I click on to a link or another website I get a game, or promo, or competition coming up. How do I get rid of all this please. And please in layman language as I am not a teccie so don't understand a lot of computer lingo!! thanks p.s, you may have this somewhere in FAQ's, but I do not have time to scroll through them all.

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware/malware on your pc.
please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc).
also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
