For many websites, my Firefox (68.0.1) does not save my login info. The box is checked in Privacy and Security asking it to do so. I've erased login info for a website, with the idea of changing my login info, but it won't save the subsequent (correct) login. It not only doesn't request to do so, but I go to Saved Logins and it isn't there. That is, for a given website, it once did save the login info, and sometimes doesn't do it any more. What's going on??

Oh, I will add that my blocking list for websites I don't want logins saved for is empty.

Are you using any password add-ons/programs?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

I am just using adblock and bookmark management add-ons.

I will try a new profile.
