I had begun a few days ago to download a large .tgz file (68 gb) it currently stopped at 55gb downloaded. Now if I attempt to restart the download it will gradually gain download speed to a certain point and just freeze, at that point if I attempt to pause the download it takes minutes before I receive any kind of feedback. I've also noticed that during this process my disk usage is at 100% even though nothing it downloading. If I don't pause the download it will eventually just say "failed" under the download.

This download manager works separately from the browser. The browser tells it what to download, and off it goes.

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org It is a powerful modern download accelerator and organizer for Windows and Mac.
