I seem to recall that in the past I was able to change my "From" email address to another one for a 1-time use. Either I forgot how to do that or that option is no longer available. Can you tell me how to do it? I want to use an address that cannot be tracked for some emails (xx@duck.com). Thanks.

I cannot download e-mail from Mozilla Thunderbird. It says "Done" in the lower left corner and will not download when I hit the Get Messages key in the upper right corner. Please help me to be able to download my email.

My Spectrum password was changed and now I cannot get direct access to TB. For some reason TB is not linking up with Spectrum password. I get a popup panel saying "Login to server Mail.TWC.Com with username jomar159@hvc.rr.com failed" Retry Enter New password Cancel I have 2 accounts on TB 1 is wmarks1 and the other is jomar159@hvc.rr.com HELP

I have two Gmail email addresses. One is used for important messages. As of last Thursday I am not receiving some emails sent to this account. I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. If I need to delete Thunderbird I will but hope not.

Suddenly I am not receiving emails from my church and financial advisors (especially daily and weekly newsletters). They are NOT going into spam; I'm stumped. Appreciate your help.

This pop message appeared about 4 hours ago. I still cannot recieved email. Do you know why and how long it before the system is working again.

Hi I use a PC running Windows 10. I created a new email adress using Outlook. All is displayed correctly in Outlook.live (subir inbox, outbox, draft, archive, etc)

Now when I try to add the same account (email adress) in Thunderbird PC (last release), the system found well my data (IMAP, SMTP...), but is unable to display submenus. Only the Inbox appears. The setup is not complete and I have no error. But in Thunderbird I received a notification stating something about the authentication of that new email adress but I have no access to the full notification (when I clic on the notification it disappears).

I deleted this account (data and message) in Thunderbird, closed Thunderbird, and created it again, same result. Only the subdir inbox appears.

In Outlook.live this account works fine, I can send and receive emails.

In Thunderbird I can also send emails but I do not receive them while they are received in Outlook.live. So it seems that there an issue in Thunderbird And I have no opportunity to add the account manually.

Any suggestion to solve this issue ?

Can anyone please help me? I use Thunderbird email and for several weeks now I have been able to receive emails but not to send them. At first outgoing messages were refused with the messages "rejected by outgoing server." The outgoing server is PlusNet. I sought help from PlusNet and after several days they told me the problem was connected with their migrating email business to a third party, but was now solved. For a few hours I was able to send messages, soon reverted to the situation where incoming messages are received but outgoing messages are rejected. This time the rejection messages say "rejected due to internal server error." But surely, PlusNet IS the outgoing server? I give up. and PlusNet is hard to contact, they don't seem to accept emails anyway. So can any other TB user advise me, and am I the only one with this problem? PeterB

Howdy! So this problem started today, and I can't find a solution or reason it is happening. The only variable is that I grabbed my address books from my old pc and transferred them over to my new pc. I didn't change any settings, just put my address books on a thumbdrive and brought them over. I've been using my new pc for about a week now, and no issues until today.

Normally when I double click on an email, and it opens in a new window or tab, the status of the email in the email list automatically becomes "read", ie the little green dot becomes a little grey dot. For reasons beyond me, it has stopped working. The email stays in "not read" status, the green dot remains. It's driving me crazy, as only pc problems can. Anyone else having this issue? Oh, and yes I shut down and cold booted the pc and nothing changed. Thanks in advance!!

I suddenly cannot send e-mails, as an alert appears that says I have to change my message in that what I am sending might be a scam or questionable, which it never is. Also, all of my new e-mails are going to "Archive" and always has gone into my InBox directly, until now. What is going on, and how can I change it?

I am attempting to set up Thunderbird on my desktop. I sign in and only very old email load. I am not sure how to proceed. Outlook is online only now, I need Thunderbird so that I can scan to email.

I accidentally discovered that dozens of email messages for a specific period of time (about a week) are still on my ISP's email server. Thunderbird is configured to download all messages to my computer and then delete them from the ISP email server.

Prior to, and since, that period of time (for many years) this has typically worked. Now, however, nothing I do to Thunderbird will get those messages downloaded - I can only access them using my ISP's webmail portal.

Based on web research, I've tried deleting the popstate.dat file and the global-messages-db.sqlite file to try to get Thunderbird to rebuild its indexes and/or POP3 databases to no avail. I've also tried to flag the messages as "unread" using the ISP's webmail portal, again, without success.

Any suggestions?

I have number of email filters in use. The main set of filters are all configures to "Filters for Local Folders". As I have a Gmail account I have a set of filters set to "Filters for <gmail address>". The Gmail filters always move the emails to my Inbox folder. These are then picked up and moved by additional filters in the "Filters for Local Folders".

Previously this worked well. However, under the latest release 143.0.1 under Windows 10, there are emails left in the Inbox folder which should have been filtered within 10 minutes. Often they are there for many hours before being processed.

When I have unfiltered emails in the Inbox folder, to make sure the filters are correctly configured, I run the "Run Filters on Folder" option on the Inbox folder and it works perfectly.

When sending an email a message states: COPYING MESSAGE TO SENT ITEMS FOLDER It never goes away. I deleted and reinstalled the program without changing the outcome. This is a Windows 11 machine.

Recently when I delete an email from the inbox it is also deleting the following message. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what is causing this and how to correct it.

Hi, Hoping someone can help. [rather a long story sorry] I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and was working OK until last week, then suddenly I can no longer log in, after a lot of hours on telstra help[which was no help] except to say that my bigpond.com was linked to my ex-partners account which was opened probably 20 yrs ago, i never remember having a password, and T/B was asking for that, in the end I went to a Telstra Shop and got my ex to be there as well as they couldn't do anything without him being there. Everything seemed to be going fine and got the bigpond account in my name with a new password, I even got them to help me install a mail program on my phone through gmail.....all good got some emails. On arriving home very relieved switched on my computer and downloaded some mail, then wanted to download TB on my phone which I did and tried to set it up, but couldn't get it to work......now I'm not sure what's wrong but read about having to have the correct server address and port number as I wanted to be able to sync from mobile to desktop and vice versa......so now I don't know which server and port number are correct.....so to cut the long story short I'm hoping someone can help with setup and server and Port numbers for old bigpond accounts and if they are are same on Mobile and Computer.
