With a recent update to Thunderbird I get repeated reminders for events (in a Gmail/Google calendar) that can't be dismissed.

The error states: "An error occurred when writing to the calendar d.......@gmail.com! Please see below for more information."

Details read as follows: "MODIFICATION_FAILED Status Code: 2,147,500,037, null Server Replied with 400 If you’re seeing this message after snoozing or dismissing a reminder and this is for a calendar you do not want to add or edit events for, you can mark this calendar as read-only to avoid such experience in future. To do so, get to the calendar properties by right-clicking on this calendar in the list in the calendar or task view."

They're thrown the next time I start Thunderbird, as well. What gives?

Please don't ask if I have permissions to my own Google calendar. I do. If I log into the same account on the Web, I can edit calendar events to my heart's content. I can change them, create them, delete them, etc. all I want.

I am also not going to set this calendar as read-only, as the Thunderbird error message instructs. That is not an option; it won't happen; and it's not even a solution.

Any other ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I have several calendars on thunderbird, which use different colours for their events. This is great for disambiguation. (e.g. one calendar is for deadlines, another for normal events, one is for reminders, one for personal events, etc).

However, some events I want to appear as Free to others, and some I want to appear as Busy. While when creating the event, I am able to choose whether to appear as Free or Busy, there is no visual difference in the created events on the thunderbird calendar.

In other calendars (e.g. outlook), there is a visual difference, e.g. "solid" colour for busy, vs "striped" for free.

Is there a way to achieve this in thunderbird calendar? If not, please consider it as a future feature.

Best, T.

Hi, I found an entry in the "thunderbirdmail.de" forum from 2005, where they discuss the option of using userChrome.css for changing the number of lines in the title of an calender appointment.

My problem is, that if the text of the title is really long, thunderbird will not enlarge the title window (more lines), so I can see the whole text (as in Outlook - from where I just changed to Thunderbird a few weeks ago).

The entry into the userCrome.css (as suggested in the forum)

.calendar-color-box .event-name-label {

   white-space:  break-spaces !important;

}

is not working (even I changed the "toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets" to "true").

Can you help me with that issue?

I cannot delete this appointment reminder that was sent to me from Joe Cooper Ford when making a service appointment. Keeps popping up, over and over. I cannot edit, delete, change, there is no "read only" option as recommended below. This appointment does not show on the calendar either so I cannot right click as also recommended below. This is very annoying.

Status Code: 2,147,500,037, null
