As noted by others about recently-prior versions of Firefox, version 129 ALSO fails to play videos (on Amazon Prime) at HD even though other browsers, Chrome and Edge as examples, work perfectly well. This problem MAY have started with a fairly recent version of Firefox (like 127 or 128). See the post right here by another user, earlier Firefox version, with the EXACT same problem:

Hello. Recently I've noticed video quality has been reduced on amazon prime video. I get a message saying my hardware doesn't meet HDCP requirements.

I've already tried playing the same video on edge, and the quality selector was fine there, full HD video.

After updating the Mozilla browser, two sites related to watching TV movies stopped opening - Apple TV and Canal +. The Apple TV site does not respond at all, Canal + shows an error. Clearing cookies doesn't help. Another browser, Chrome, opens pages normally.
