migrated to new Mac and Thunderbird damaged/deleted. What to do.

Migrated my data from old MacBook to new MacBook, and got a message of a damaged Thunderbird app. Deleted the app. Thus, I cannot retrieve personal data on my old Mac. I do have a gmail account, but my preference always has ben to use Thunderbird. How do I proceed?
