I have stubbornly refused to update FF because newer versions have lost this feature.

NOTE: unable to 'Upload images:' after 3 attempts, last using tiny .jpg file

hi, you cant set an exact number of top site slots (they also depend on the screen width), but you're able to set anywhere from 1 to 4 rows of thumbnails in current versions of firefox.
