buen día, uso Firefox ESR (actualmente 128.7.0esr 64 bits) sobre Lubuntu 18.04.6 LTS (Bionic, actualizado cada 15 días) corriendo en una pc Lenovo R400 (4 GB de RAM), y cuando necesito usar cámara web inserto una Genius FaceCam 310 en un puerto USB; después de una actualización de Firefox ESR (hecha entre Noviembre-Diciembre) Firefox dejó de detectar la cámara al pretender usar Meet (video conferencias de Google), se tilda, enlentece la computadora y en ocasiones se descarga solo (deja de ejecutarse); ¿ cómo sé que el soft que falla es Firefox y no otro componente ?, fácil: 1) desde la división técnica del organismo donde trabajo me indicaron que los usuarios de Firefox comenzaron a experimentar problemas (no ahondaron en versiones de SO, ni de Firefox, ni de PCs); 2) he instalado la versión Desktop de Firefox y experimento el mismo problema al pretender participar en una VC (desinstalo y regreso a usar ESR); 3) si utilizo Meet con Firefox -sin conectar la cámara- puedo participar de la VC (solo audio, sin mostrar imagen); y 4) si ingreso a la videoconferencia utilizando Chromium va todo bien (detecta la cámara y puedo realizar la actividad normalmente). Desde Fines de Noviembre -a la fecha- continúo utilizando Chromium solo para este tipo de actividades pero me agradaría poder actualizar Firefox y ver que han solucionado este problema, realmente me siento familiarizado con esta aplicación, ya que la utilizo desde hace muchos años.

Si tienen registro de antecedentes como éste... me gustaría conocer las sugerencias para poder intentar una solución (cambios de configuraciones, etc); o -caso contrario- esperaré que solucionen este bug.

Tengo instaladas tres distribuciones linux basadas en debian (las estoy probando) y en las tres, cuando veo videos de youtube (resolution 720) se disparan el consumo de cpu (AMD FX-6300 (6) @ 3.50 GHz) y las temperaturas de los núcleos. Tengo una tarjeta gráfica incorporada (AMD Radeon 3000). También tengo instalado MaboxLinux (manjaro), con esta distribución no me pasa eso. ¿Alguna ayuda al respecto? Muchas gracias --- Hello. I notice that Firefox is slower and crashes my computer more often than usual (Win 11). Sometimes it doesn't let me interact with the start bar, other times it just crashes. On the other hand, the browser cache is really annoying for a web developer. We need some partial cache clearing or another system similar to Chromium. I try to stick with Firefox since I've been using it for over 10 years, but I'm almost forced to switch to Chrome if it has so many problems. Thanks in advance.

buenas, me pasa que muchas veces firefox me deja de reproducir videos, se cuelga youtube instagram twitter cualquier pagina que contenga algun tipo de video.. se queda como cargando, la unica solucion es cerrar firefox y volverlo a abrir pero pierdo todas las pestañas, ya he probado de todo pero el problema sigue.. uso firefox desde el 2004 y con otros navegadores no tengo este problema

I'm a proud user of Mozilla Thunderbird since... ages, actually. The last updates sets an incredible step forward from older versions and I'm obsessed with 128.4 Everything works fine and smoothly. I'm not looking back to any other mail software ever.

BUT

I'm running Linux Mint 21.3 and the past weeks I've noticed the active Thunderbird icons on my panel while Thunderbird is open changes depending on the window currently in use, or the active task: a pen when you're writing an email, a bell while you're managing your calendar stuff, etc. That's great. Surprisingly that new icon stays on the panel, although I close that window or end the task involved. To see the Thunderbird icon I have to completely exit the program and re open it. It's only a visual issue but it's itching my nerves.

Any suggestions?

ISSUE DESCRIPTION • The performance degradation is consistent across all tested configurations • Issue specifically manifests in maps with numerous vector elements (hockey floors) • Game is virtually unplayable in vector-heavy maps • Problem is reproducible across different desktop environments and display servers • Performance is optimal in Chromium-based browsers under identical conditions

  * Enabled hardware acceleration (layers.acceleration.force-enabled)
  * Forced WebGL
  * Run with GPU optimization flags

2) Configuration Changes:

  * Enabled gfx.webrender.all
  * Modified various about:config settings

3) Environment Variables:

  * Tested with various Firefox flags (e.g., MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0)

4) Profile/Extensions:

  * Disabled all extensions
  * Created new Firefox profile

IMPACT The performance issue makes the game unplayable specifically in Firefox, while the same content performs well in other browsers on identical systems. This suggests a Firefox-specific rendering or performance optimization issue when handling vector-heavy content.

Hola, tengo 13 cuentas vinculadas al thunderbird y no se si es por la cantidad o cual es el motivo pero hace que sea imposible trabajar por la lentitud. No solo al trabajar con el thunderbird sino en la computadora en general. Hay alguna configuración que me permita tener esa cantidad de mails y que funcione mejor ? Alguna recomendación que me puedan dar ? Muchas gracias

Tras cerrar sesión en gmail he intentado volver a iniciar y cada una de las veces que lo intento Firefox me remite a esta página: "https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=es" en un bucle infinito. Es clicar en Iniciar sesión de Google y aparecer siempre esa esa página. No me da ningún error ni ningún mensaje, simplemente aparezco allí y no soy capaz de acceder a mi correo ni identificarme en mi cuenta de Youtube.

He reiniciado el navegador y limpiado cookies y chaché, pero el problema persiste.
