Problem: Compatibility error between Firefox AI features and the Google Gemini web application.
Behavior:
When using the "Summarize page" button in the sidebar, the chat session restarts automatically.
The same issue occurs when selecting text and using the AI context menu (to summarize or ask about the selection).
In both cases, a brief "Error, try again" message appears, the current chat is cleared, and the page redirects to a blank new conversation.
Key Clarification: The error only occurs when I am signed in to my Google account. If I use Gemini without an account or in a window where I am not logged in (Signed out/Guest), all Firefox AI features work perfectly.
Tests performed: The issue persists in the main session even after:
1: Disabling all extensions.
2: Clearing cache and cookies.
3: Attempting to force input events via Userscripts (Tampermonkey), which was unsuccessful in the active session.Testing on a fresh, signed-out profile shows no issues.
Hardware: i7-9700f / RTX 3060 Ti (Performance issues have been ruled out).
