i am creating 6 different images from a single servlet and placing them at 6 different positions in a page. Every image is having source as the above servlet's url but different get parameters. When i open the page i some times see that the images though are loaded properly are not rendered at proper positions on screen. i.e. lets say images are horizontal bar images but of different sizes, then i see some random behavior, like - first image is seen in second position also, or sometimes last image will be seen in all positions. But the same if you see through firebug at a particular position, exact images are loaded. and some times on page refresh all images come up properly. Note that - all images are in .png format. From this it seems that its a browser bug, which is not letting the images to render properly. Also note that i don't have hardware acceleration enabled in my machine. Kindly help on this.

You can reset bold (user set) network.http prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value on the about:config page.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
