importing bookmarks after installing upgrade OS

I installed an upgrade to my previous OS and after the upgrade completed it made a windows old folder which shows my previously installed Firefox monzilla browser so I open and installed it to my new Upgrade OS but it shows no previous bookmarks or history. How do I get these bookmarks back if possible.
