Can I batch-archive emails and attachments to my hard drive? ...in a format other than .eml...which is stupid...

My current email system no longer allows me to click on a bunch of emails - and their attachments, then 'print' them to pdf on my hard drive.

My business must save emails for at least 10 years.

Someone suggested Mozilla's email, Thunderbird, but I'm not gonna switch until I know that I can batch-archive.

Thoughts?

I want to be able to weed out and eliminate those names that are no longer relevant to me. How can I do this so that only the most recent names pop up? Can you tell me how to do this?

All of a sudden, in Inbox, the form of the date listed for receipt of each e-mail has changed to m/d/y. I can't see a way of altering this: it's very irritating to have to look so much more carefully for such basic information.

I am using Firefox for my emails. I have lots of folders on the side of my email page. I need to back them up, but do not know how. Some of them have attachements as well. I do not know how to do it . As it is the start of a New Year I want to keep the old ones. I don't know if I can save the email page as well as the attachement in one go or if it is separate. I operate on a PC and use Mozilla Firefox on an Ubunto system package. To my knowledge there are no obvious command controls on Firefox to enable me to carry out the editing of already Sent Emails that I am then wanting to forward on to others - especially when I am sending out fairly long Emails.

I am trying to update all my preferred email addressees of a change in my email address. I have produced list from my Address Book but i need to transfer this list to the "Send" of the e mail. There are probably about 50 addresses and I intend to use the "BCC" facility to do this. How do I convert the list I am making from my address book ,without losing it, into a send list and send to all the addressees. I hope this makes sense.

I haven't been using Thunderbird for very long in my Mac environment but i got fed up completely with apple mail over many years and wanted something better which i have found with Thunderbird but there is one thing i am not sure if it will do or is available and that is when i receive an email or send an email i would like to be able to somehow date the email for it to remind me to come back to it in the future at some point. I know you can mark emails and tag them but i would like to see just a simple drop down, mark for future action and the date and the system will remind me at that point by bringing the email to the top of the inbox or sending me an email about it. I don't know if this exists in any way or whether i have explained it correctly but i get an awful lot of mail and sometimes i just want to say remind me in an hour day, week month or a specific time to go back and deal with it. Does this exist in some sort of simple way or is this a big issue to include? I have no idea I am simply a user who likes Thunderbird and would like to see it even better.
