I changed back to Thunderbird from Windows Mail. When I did Thunderbird picked up my old emails from 2018 and before. How can I get them out of Inbox and Sent Box ? TU.

I have a thunderbird account but switched to gmail and now wish to return to thunderbird but error message 400 from Google appears each time.What do I need to do - in simple terms pls

i just reinstalled my whole pc, win10 64. I exported my profile including all possible data, the .zip was too big to import so i copied it into the profile folder, on my desktop, in another foldet etc. But i always get the error message shown in the picture. This is my only chance to have access to my (partly) old email accounts... that's why i followed all steps, but i cannot import everything. I REALLY need your help and would appreciate it A LOT.

I have latest Thunderbird version (115.9.0 64bit) on fully patched Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS.

I'm trying to get it to display Day-of-Week for old messages - is this possible? I have tried all sorts of combination as detailed HERE to no avail.

I'd like concise instructions on how to do this (if it can be done). I do not believe trying a new profile will work as I need to test this for old messages - at least for messages older than a week.

From the link above, I can the Day-of-Week to work for the current week - but that only displays the day and time. What I'm after is as shown in the attached Outlook screenshot. Also see the closest I can get that to match in the Thunderbird screenshot.

After installing Thunderbird 115.10.0 (64bit) on a WIN 11 system yesterday program does not close fully. It will not restart unless I use Task Manager to delete what is running or else reboot system.

i have been away from my pc for 6 weeks and cannot access thunderbird. it repeated states that the login server IMAP.telstra.com failed my email hillsec@bigpond.net.au i have tried changing the in server and outgoing server to match my ipad and iphone which can receive emails. please help me to restore everything in thunderbird.

Last week, sometime, I received ALL the emails, that have come into my "mailbox", from about the time I purchased my latest computer, several years ago. There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of the little critters. All arranged alphabetically, starting with the letter "a". So far, the ONLY solution I've found from "Thunderbird Help", is to 1. Open inbox 2. Select [left click] one of the repeated emails. 3. This high lights the email in BLUE. 4. Select BOTH "CONTROL & A" KEYS at the same time. 5. This highlights the WHOLE PRESENT page of emails in BLUE. 6. The instructions then say to press the "DELETE" key. 7. Question is- IF I PRESS THE "DELETE" key, will that just delete the emails on this page, OR delete EVERY email in my entire "inbox"? The only OTHER remedy I've tried, is to send the unwanted emails, ONE at a time, to the "TRASH" folder, then empty the "TRASH" folder, when I get 10-15 emails in it. That could take a VERY long time. I need help with an abusive administer he only an administer because he stole my e-commerce operating system in 2017 by putting malware on to my keyboard port so no key board would type I could not stop him I was originally hacked in 2014 I shut down my system that was unopened at the time for two years until I had gone through 25 devices because the abusive administer put malware onto all my devices and ruined them this has got to stop u just won money I can’t get into my google account because he changed my password and took my phone numbers because of so I can change the password to get into it I have about 25 google accounts for this reason every time something good happens and money is involved he takes my accounts so it don’t happen this isn’t the firsts time he has done this very same thing some one has to stop this criminal He takes Money off my cards and spends my money how much more of this do I have to put up with he is not an administer he is a hacking thief and I demand help

I use Thunderbird to pick up 4 separate gmail accounts. Every once in a while I can't delete a message or selected messages. I have tried hitting delete, which normally works, deleting within the message and CTRL delete. The odd thing is if I go to another mailbox, delete a message from there, then return to the mailbox that didn't delete, I can suddenly delete messages from the first mailbox. This happens on all the mailboxes. Obviously, I can work around it, but it is annoying. Any suggestions? I previously deleted all the Trash and Trash.msf files and that did not fix the issue. This seems to have started with version 115. I am on a Mac IOS Sonoma 14.4.1

Since yesterday, Thunderbird will not connect to my TalkTalk IMAP mail server unless I switch on a VPN. This is inconvenient. I have no problems accessing my emails through TalkTalk's online mail service, which doesn't happen when the server is down.

I am posting this on my Mac Monterey; but the problem is on my Windows 10. It is similar to my last post about Firefox on that system. Updating is hanging. About Thunderbird shows an update available, just as that feature on Firefox did last week. However, though it indicates that it is attempting to download, it shows that nothing is downloading. So, there is a spinning icon on the left, but zero bytes downloading, just as Firefox did. After a restart last week Firefox applied the download. The same action occurs now with Thunderbird. To contrast, that same update just downloaded and applied on this Mac Monterey. The version on Windows 10 is 115.10.2, 64-Bit. There is a general Windows Update problem on that system. Edge, on the other hand, downloads its updates without any problem. I just ran a Troubleshooter that Windows makes available under Settings, Update and Security, Troubleshoot. Right now I am about to restart that computer.

Bonjour, les courriers envoyés par l'un de mes correspondants avec son adresse Axxxx, n'arrivent pas dans deux de mes adresses mails. Dans la troisième, SFR, ils vont directement en quarantaine. Si ce correspondant utilise une autre de ses adresses mails, Bxxxx, le courrier arrive normalement. Je rectifie chaque fois le statut de ce correspondant, je le déclare comme acceptable, je le déplace de la quarantaine vers le courrier entrant sans succès même si je ferme TB et le ré-ouvre ensuite. Où chercher? J'ai regardé les occurrences ouvertes par la recherche à partir de "quarantaine" et je n'y vois pas de solution. Win7, TB à jour. Merci

First post. I was trying to target a Thunderbird forum but I get vectored to Mozilla which seems to be more focused on Firefox. Sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

First, it was my impression that a global Inbox could be POP accts only. But my global Inbox has a POP acct and an IMAP account. I'm not sure but this might have happened when I converted one of my POP accts to IMAP. Am I wrong about this theory? Going forward, I'm going to refer to this IMAP acct as the "bad" one.

As a result, my bad IMAP acct that appears in the global Inbox has no Inbox of its own under its account. What I'm looking to do is get the bad IMAP Inbox out of the global Inbox and back into its account in my sidebar.

There's nothing wrong with my e-mail but I want to keep it that way. I have another IMAP account (aka "good") and as a result of my situation, I have to look at the bad Inbox and the good Inbox of the two IMAP accounts in different ways in the interface and it annoys me.

I've looked at the account settings. The good IMAP acct has the personal namespace "INBOX." whereas the bad IMAP acct has the personal namespace "". I've tried changing the bad personal namespace to "INBOX." as well but I also have "allow server to override these namespaces" and it won't stick. I don't understand IMAP well enough to be confident about making more changes without getting advice.

Hi I decided to donate so I could get rid of the automatic start of my browser showing the request for donation screen whenever I open Thunderbird. Even though I received the confirmation that I successfully donated, I still get the annoying request for donation. How do I stop the auto load of the browser?

When I view emails with photos attached inline (both in preview pane and fully opened) i can't see the images as they are massive and go way off the screen. Is there a setting to provide some kind of sensible default so the images are sized within the email i am looking at, so i can view them without downloading and opening in a photo viewer? thanks

Hi, am getting this error and am unable to use our new PC as this Thunderbird mail app is failing to migrate the profile from the other windows PC. Need your help asap on how to fix this. Not very technical, so need help. I updated Thunderbird to the latest version (115.11.0 32 bit) on my old PC before copying the profile over and loading Thunderbird on this new PC which has 115.11.0 64 bit version.

I get a popup every day asking me to update to 115. I refuse to use it anymore after just about pulling my hair out for 3 weeks after 2 115 updates that totally screwed up my Thunderbird mails. Most were completely garbled, or some just disappeared. I followed the solutions in the forums here, but no dice. Since I reverted back to version 102, no problems. I just want to know how to get rid of the popup every day. I am not going to screw op my all in one again. My emails were fine on my phone. But I wasted countless hours trying to fix this mess & then just having to delete them.

Hello Thunderbird users!

Today my father lost all the sub folders below the folder Archives. Doe anybody know how to get them back?

I tried the following:

• Clicked on Folder Modes -> All Folders
• Tried the solution mentioned here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Local_Folders

The strange thing is I also don't see any .sbd or .msf files, with one of the names he mentions, under the directory Mail (in the profile directory). How can they suddenly disappear or be deleted?

If someone knows how to get the folders (with the e-mails) back, that would be very much appreciated!
