I'm a longtime Thunderbird user, but I've never used this Thunderbird "get help" site and I don't know how to respond to Matt to give him details and thanks. How do I respond to his response? Ralph

Hi. I was all set to give to the Thunderbird project and then I saw that it would _*not*_ be a tax deductible donation. I assume there's some reason to incorporate as not a 501c3, but then shouldn't you have a 501c3 entity too? How do I make a tax deductible donation to this work?

I just installed TB 102. I have multiple cardDAV accounts set up in Thunderbird, they synchronised fine as far as I can tell. But when I type anything in the field "search all address books", nothing happens. Even if I press enter. The entire list of contacts remains displayed, I can scroll it, as if I never typed anything in the search field...

Any view what I could be doing wrong? I have only two add-ons: Dark Reader and Addon Compatibility Check.

I have Mozilla Thunderbird email Client on my HP W10 Computer and just have so many that I want to Save on to an External Hard Drive/Back Up on to Google Drive and so on.

I do not know how to do this Process and I tried my Local Service Provider/Verizon Tech Support and they cannot help as thy said they are not Familiar with this Product.

Is there anyone even for a Fee/Paid Support that can be of help to me on this?

Kindly Reply to me with more Information as I Really Do Not Want To Loose All Those Emails.

Unable to output email to Thunderbird

Since Thunderbird upgraded on the 21st of September I can no longer export email reports from sage accounts.

I'm not sure why this is happening but I'm going to try to go back to another version. Before it just opened another window with the email and the report as an attachment.

Version is 102.3.0

Did anyone have the same behaviour with another application?

Since your amazing "update", I've taken a step back. When I receive an e-mail initiated by the sender, all but two choices have been eliminated from the toolbar above the message, No reply for starters. When I initiate an e-mail and select write from toolbar, the address book used to apper along the left border - no more. Please stop "improving" your product - it used to be just fine. Thanks, Craig

Good Morning All. HELP NEEDED. I have got this message before and waited it out and it resets itself. Today I don't have that luxury. Here's the message I keep get when trying to send an email:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Sending disabled because maximum threshold has been reached. Please check the message and try again.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Dear all, I've noticed a similar, rather serious problem with Thunderbird, first using it on MacBook Pro, now using ThinkPad with Windows 11 Pro. The Thunderbird used is 102.6.1 (64 bits).

The problem: a mail read and moved from Inbox to another folder, gets overwritten by another mail saved in the same folder. Overwritten is only the content, while in the list of mails in the folder the sender, subject and date are still different. Overwriting does not happen when either of mails is moved to the destination folder, but at a later time. I don't think I can reproduce mail management that I did at the time the error happens, however I do not think I did anything strange. It is true that my email structure consists of around 100 folders with thousands of emails (unfortunate byproduct of my job description).

I guess I do not need to state how serious this potential bug (or my mistake, perhaps...) is. The first time I attributed it to a perhaps non-perfect compatibility of Mac version of the Thunderbird with its OS, however the error being repeated at two different systems rules this out.

Clearly the suggestions (or requests for further info) are welcome.

Hello.

I have my Gmail setup in Thunderbird and everything is working well for the most part. I just have a question about the way the Gmail folders are shown in Thunderbird.

The Inbox is shown under the mail @gmail folder as I'd expect. But the other folders do not appear directly under it. Rather they're shown as "sub folders" under one called '[Gmail]'. Any idea why that is? See picture below. Thanks.

This morning when I tried to open my email client (Thunderbird) I found that I could not. I have been updated to version 102.4.2.

But I can't add my email accounts, it's like I can't save it. But the error message is not due to lack of space, it tells me that the email accounts already exist, and yet I can't use Thunderbird because I have an installation as if I don't have any accounts installed.

In configuration I don't know what to change either, even if I change the language for example and refresh it doesn't save. Before the issue I had few space or maybe none... I was going to free some space before the issue, but now I cannot do anything.

I don't know what to do.

Can someone help me? Thank you very much!

Release 102 is great, I have no problems, but I have a question. Previous to 102, if I forwarded a message, I'd get a list of email addresses on the same screen, on the left side. Maybe it would appear after I clicked BCC - I really don't know because I never paid much attention to it, I just found it very helpful. It allowed me to click on the person, or group, to whom I was forwarding the email. This list no longer appears, so the other day I had to open up a second window, check my directory, and then manually type the name into the BCC field. I figure that with 102 there must be a way to click on an address from the directory so that it will populate the BCC field on the message I'm forwarding. Can someone tell me how to do it? Thanks!

It is extremely annoying. I have been using thunderbird forever. I would have to switch to microsoft software. Please help!
