I am trying to add some accounts to thunderbird but in the beginning on one pc i did not receive the mails nor could I send one . N ow i have reinstalled the app but now i cannot add any of the accounts it keeps telling me thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account Can you please assist with this problem

On a seldom used PC i cannot start thunderbird. If trying to update i get the message, that update is not possible cause a former update is not installed ready. New start and all other tried before is no solution. Deinstallation of thunderbird is also not possible with same reason.

TB version 102.2.2 loads slowly, fails to show last email message in group of newly received emails as read, even it's read. I had to use "mark as read" command. How do I get rid of the vertical menu strip on the right side?

(1) speed up loading of TB w/Win 10 Pro; (2) fix for having to use command of mark as read instead of email automatically showing as read after I've scrolled down to and READ IT. I don't need the extra work, I already hate the colors and have a vertical side bar that I can't get rid of on the left side of the TB screen or page. I don't even use the functions in that left side bar. I'd really like to be able to truly customize TB so that I could get rid of the colors, get rid of the sidebar, choose what icons I want (for delete, etc.). I'd have a much cleaner screen, much less clutter.

Hello.

I have my Gmail setup in Thunderbird and everything is working well for the most part. I just have a question about the way the Gmail folders are shown in Thunderbird.

The Inbox is shown under the mail @gmail folder as I'd expect. But the other folders do not appear directly under it. Rather they're shown as "sub folders" under one called '[Gmail]'. Any idea why that is? See picture below. Thanks.

This is the error I get. I know nothing about programming and I have just downloaded thunderbird about 2 weeks ago and still trying to get it to work properly, i have come from outlook 2016.

I receive an email and it is in my inbox. the bottom half of the "window" has the email message in it when I click on the message in the list. I hover my mouse pointer over the senders name and a box opens up. In that box are several options one of them is a + symbol which indicates by clicking on it I can add to the address book. BUT when I click on it I get a really small error box which I have to maximise to read. When I do maximise the box it says "problem loading page" and in the middle of the window is

File not found

The file jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Thunderbird/omni.ja!/chrome/messenger/content/messenger/addressbook/abNewCardDialog.xhtml cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

   Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors.
   Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.


Is it possible for someone to suggest what I might do to fix it.

I am using Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22000 build 22000 x64 Intel Core i5

I've just downloaded today's Thunderbird update, and it's causing me a BIG and immediate problem. I use four email addresses, each one with its own sub-Inbox, sub-Sentbox etc, and now, while three of the addresses are still there, the first of each of the four sub-inboxes etc - not the emails in them, but the whole sub-inbox etc - has vanished. Also all my archives. It's as though the boxes - for the email address carolinepetherick@gmail.com - never existed. Help, please! (Preferably in words, that I, a moderately techie 74-year-old, should be able to understand.)

Is there a way to format the phone number field either automatically with a default format type, or all numbers at once, in all contacts?

For example, I want 5551235555 formatted as (555) 123-5555 or even just 555-123-5555. The numbers I have now are mixed formats and it is driving me nuts.

Good Morning All. HELP NEEDED. I have got this message before and waited it out and it resets itself. Today I don't have that luxury. Here's the message I keep get when trying to send an email:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Sending disabled because maximum threshold has been reached. Please check the message and try again.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Something has updated and I have lost all of the email folders I have built up over the last 8 years or so, I can't even access all the thousands of deleted emails, nothing. I have tried doing stuff with "profiles" but no joy so far, can anyone make this simple?

My downloaded messages are fine at first but after a bit of time they convert to a computer language and are unreadable

I do not know how to do this Process and I tried my Local Service Provider/Verizon Tech Support and they cannot help as thy said they are not Familiar with this Product.

Is there anyone even for a Fee/Paid Support that can be of help to me on this?

Kindly Reply to me with more Information as I Really Do Not Want To Loose All Those Emails.

My Thunderbird is completely updated. Since July I have found it impossible to consistently send emails. I checked my outgoing settings and they are fine. I have no anti-virus (I'm using a Mac). When I turn off the firewall, I can send one email out, sometimes two, then they will no longer go out. I tried deleting Thunderbird from the firewall, then adding it again. Nothing doing. This occurs with both email addresses I use.

Should I remove Thunderbird from my computer and start over? Or is it a lost cause?
