if I schedule a meeting locally for 9am some attendees receive the meeting scheduled at 8am (1 hour earlier than actual). I have checked my thunderbird date and time settings and they are correct. The attendees claim their settings are correct but between the 2 systems (Thunderbird and Outlook) there is an hour discrepancy. This is causing clients to miss my meetings. Please assist.

When I set up a filter for junk mail, it asks "When do you want to move" I DO NOT want to move it anywhere I want it DELETED. Not move to trash where I have to "run junk filter" again or again delete it. In filter when you select DELETE it should be deleted. Otherwise what is the purpose of "JUNK" filter. Who wants to save junk?

I have a list so long it won't fit here. I can only think to install back to an update 10 days ago. I can't find an option for that- and I am not a proffessional- just a simple user.

I have a MacAir, since installing the latest update, Thunderbird: stalls for so long and can't switch it off or access anything for hours sporadically, it won't save 'sent' emails sporadically, it sends emails full of garbage - numbers, green and black screens, and other illegable content. sporadically. A lot of problems happen the moment I put an image into the content. and then I can't undo it. I can't access the image to move it, to delete it, just stuck. the signature keeps including code. it now says 105% full. Since when did we have a quota? I didn't know how to fix it. So it's now blocking me receiving emails. so I archived, deleted mails and it shifted it. BUT I have never had to do this before and don't want to -I have a busness to run and need to keep records. I can't delete in the future. What is this stupid quota thing?

I can keep going with the problems I have. But I don't have copious amounts of weeks and months to now trouble shoot. So I thought I just take it back to a previous update -say 2 weeks ago before th eproblems started, and not update again until Thunderbird can function on the Mac.

Can anyone help me? I am scared to uninstall, as I don't want to lose my contacts again. (had previous problems with Thunderbird in the last few months) ...now this. and have no idea how to get help? I want to be loyal to thunderbird- but I can't function with it right now.

....anyone?

When I receive a message in Thunderbird and click Reply, the Write window opens with some of the quoted text in the reply — that which has more than one line in a paragraph — containing overlapping lines. That overlap does not occur in the original received message.

Just yesterday, I tried to download my latest email with "get messages" on my PC but got a message saying "error with account stanmalette" and "Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.embarqmail.com responded: stanmalette is an invalid mailbox.Account name should be the fully qualified email address". I can still get my thunderbird email on my phone, but the PC seems locked as of 10/24/22. Should I set up the account again, or download Thunderbird again, and should I be pop or imap? I have been using Thunderbird for many years and this was unexpected and confusing. Stan

Cannot open email attachments

For past 24 hours only, I have been unable to open email attachments. v115.7.0, however last update was 31/01 and has worked perfectly until now. Still use Windows 10.

Double clicking on attachments does nothing, other than popup software option for formats without specified defaults. Either way, no indication that attachment is opening.

"Save as" is saving attachment document to target folder, however trying to open these errors, suggesting document is corrupted or in incorrect format.

Have tried restarting system to no effect; likewise error continuing in troubleshoot mode. Cannot see any obvious settings that would impact this, nor have I consciously altered any of these.

I'm certain this may be an easy fix, or my own error, but this is eluding me.

Question about thunderbird (but if it can be done on a different email app I'm with it) Inheriting an inbox which has thousands of emails being forwarded to one address Don't want to mark all as read at once, is there a way of adding each address to different boxes so I can open and deal with them one at a time? (and, so the "email opened" can ping as I go through them, not in one instant) Thanks!

I want to talk with a Thunderbird agent for help. I'm not sure if this is the right way to communicate. Thank you for responding. I finally did get the help I needed when I returned home from travelling. A local business uses Thunderbird on a Mac like me. "Ionos", which hosts my website and web mail that goes to Thunderbird helped me on line to put in changes they require but that did not work for me. And I lost all my email except for the last week. Also mail wasn't coming into Thunderbird. It turns out my Avast had something to do with the muck up. It took 2 hrs. to solve the problem. My husband Uri Cogan passed on last Nov. He set me up with Thunderbird and took care of everything related to my computer. He was a volunteer helping here. Without him I am slowly learning what I can. I am finding out that most people don't really know anything outside their lane and any friend I asked was as clued out as I am.

Windows 11 22H2 22621.1555 + Thunderbird 102.10.1 (64-bit) I face a problem with Yandex mailbox with the following authentication settings: smtp.yandex.com:465 SSL/TLS OAuth2 The "Enter credentials" window gives --- 400 redirect_uri does not match the Callback URL defined for the client --- after logging into account. The address in the window is https://oauth.yandex.com/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=...&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost&scope=mail%3Aimap_full I removed the client_id but "localhost" is authentic and suspicious. What can cause the problem?

I'm converting from outlook and I'm wondering how to jump to a particular letter in the alphabet with scrolling to get to it when the emails from sorted by alphabetical order. In outlook you just click on the alphabet on your keyboard and it takes you right to the beginning of the emails starting with that letter. Just curious if thunderbird does this or if there is an add-on or shortcut to get there. Thanks.

How do I remove the two hyphens that get added my email whenever I use a signature (every email).

I know this has been resolved on some previous editions of Thunderbird but the latest 115.2.3 and the previous one appears that editing the config file to make changes is no longer an option the way it was being done on older versions.

Also, why is it even there?
