Hi there, I am having a problem with the latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird. When I try to print a message from the Sent folder, everything looks fine in the preview, but when I print it to my printer or even to PDF, then I have headers and the first 2 words from the mail, the next is the blank page (should be my message) and on the next page is the message I'm replying to.

Every once in a while message attachments wont open. A temporaty fix is to fix the incoming folder but that takes a long time every time i have to do that.

This time i decided to check the error log and found this error:

I previously posted here about an issue where Thunderbird would display document icons instead of folders in the Favorite Folders view, and also put these icons at the top of the list, out of alphanumeric order. In the previous thread a fix was suggested...

...but that fix no longer works, and new folders on a brand-new installation of Thunderbird (with no previous profiles on this system) now exhibit the same behavior.

The Favorite Folders view should display folders using folder icons and in alphanumeric order. What steps can I take to ensure Thunderbird does so?

This is on 115.7.0 running on MacOS 14.3.1. Thanks.

Hi guys,

I have a weird problem with my thunderbird on my PC.

I really want the icon pinned on my taskbar but no matter what I do it keeps removing itself once I open thunderbird.

I tried all kind of things, creating a shorcut and pinning it instead of doing that from the start menu, pinning it from the start menu, from desktop, from the app .exe itself. Nothing, it keeps removing itself!

I don't have this problem on my other windows machine so I really don't know what to look at.

Currently using MacOs Big Sur 11.7.10 and Thunderbird 115.6.1 and every time that I restart laptop or the Thunderbird app I have to re-enter the passwords for the email server accounts, sre-enter message filters, and Thunderbird preferences such as PDF reader for PDFs. Any suggestions most welcome.

Running TB 115.7.0 on an iMac. I've made no changes to any of the setting recently. Overnight it stopped being able to send messages. Instead I get this error message:

"Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable Sender address is not allowed.. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

I have checked my email address in account settings and I have checked my SMTP settings and all seems to be correct. What could have caused this sudden change in TB's behavior and what can I do to fix it?

I have an IO group account, and mail delivery from messages sent to/from them is erratic. Sometimes they arrive within seconds; other times it takes over a day. I know the messages are sent, because I can see them on the IO group, but not in my inbox. I don't seem to have issues with any other emails, only IO groups

This is the third time in 3-4 weeks that this has happened. When I detached an attachment, the entire email disappeared. It is gone and a search for it comes up empty - even the trash and junk folders. It is just gone. Message body is set to Original HTML. There were no other attachments in the "attachment" drop down. Version 115.7.0 (64-bit). Again, this has now happened three times and there is no way to retrieve the emails.

After entering Safe Mode to troubleshoot the hyperlink issue, 2 of 3 email accounts were deleted. After reinstalling them there are so many issues to report.

The most annoying is when replying to a message in a Folder under Local Folders no From account is selected, and no Subject until I remove the "re:" and it won't send until I save it as a draft, then edit and then it will send.

Emails work normally when replying if they are not in a Local Folder.

Several other issues but I'll start there. I've been using Thunderbird for many decades and have not had these issues before.

My account is not sending or receiving emails. I have always had to enter a password to access my account and now it is open without a password. I am trying to access some important emails! I tried logging in through Yahoo and cannot access there either. It tells me it has sent me a code to my email! If I click on try a different method it tells me to try again later. Love that your site asks me to tick 'email me when someone answers'

After a recent update - maybe about a month ago (can't recall if there's been any updates since) -Thunderbird slowed down considerably. I didn't change anything with the configuration/accounts from before or after the update. Curiously, the same version of Thunderbird (115.7.0) runs fine on my Win10 surface pro tablet, but my Win8.1 desktop slowed down considerably after the update. Running Thunderbird with all extensions disabled doesn't make a difference in performance.

Hi,

Lately, if I get an email I can click reply. But if I get an email with other threads (ex. is a reply to a reply or a conversation) the only way I can reply is to double click the email. Thunderbird then opens each thread in a separate window. After I select the latest email and reply, I then have to close each thread. Is there any easier way to reply to emails that have multiple threads?

I have tried to re-download previous versions that worked just fine, but I still receive an error message every time I access my email ["Login to server imap.secureserver.net with username ________ failed"]. I've updated my password multiple times but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on how to get this fixed since there is no customer service line to call?

Very often (probably 3/4 of the time) when attempting to move a message to a folder, nothing happens. I have to select another message then quickly go back to the message and quickly select Message Move and then scroll to the desired folder and hope it moves. Sometimes if I don't do the above steps within a few seconds, the action does not occur and I have to redo the above steps.

This happens more often with a message that has been selected for more than a few seconds.

I have kept Thunderbird updated thinking/hoping I wasn't the only one encountering this problem but it has persisted since a significant update in the 2 months or so.
