This is a new one... Windows 10 1TB SSD Newest version T'bird

History: Upgraded from 500BG to 1TB using ISO Imaging software

Issue: The ISO Imaging went well and the new 1TB account showed 485GB which was accurate. The next day my 1TB drive was full 998GB and my Thunderbird SBD folder was 743GB. Every time I delete data to create space my imap.gmail.com folder grows (Currently 736GB).

Help!!!

I was exploring this new 115 of Thunderbird and ended up wiping the message viewer off the screen.

To start with, I have my TBird 115 as it came "out of the box." Three columns, Inbox folder tree on the left, Cards List in the center, and message pane in the right side.

I messed everything up when I widened the Cards list to the right edge of the window, where the <---> arrowhead disappeared and all there is to the right side is the window resize arrow from my Linux system and that awful slim Jim scroll bar.

I recovered my message pane using F8 key; it is below my short list of email in the Cards View. See the attached screenshot.

I would like to return things back to as they were with the three columns as described above. I forgot, too, where I turned on Classic View. There is a checked box in Settings somewhere. Or is it a menu? I need some help, please.

May I suggest a limit somewhere short of the right-side edge of the window and short of the scroll bar to only widen the message pane "so far," such that one can recover from pushing it that far, using the same means to return it with the double arrow.

When I try to create a filter there is no "OK" button, so obviously filter can't be created. I tried the command % sudo rm ~Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/vwybotat.default % session.json Got the response zsh: no such user or named directory: Library

Has anyone received this message or know how to fix the issue that may be causing it?

I have four Gmail accounts which I'm phasing out because of the absurd Google policies and convolutions. I've added four new accounts with another, my own mail hosting service. all the four Gmail accounts I have set to forward all to thee new accounts.

The problem is every time I start up Thunderbird it defaults stubbornly to the previous Gmail account which subsequently it cannot log in and for a password.

I tried everything, setting the other account as default account, unchecking server settings [i.e.check for new messages at start up].

Since I have much (downloaded) information still in subfolders that I need to access from time to time I have not yet deleted that account.

Nothing seems to work, every time I start Thunderbird it immediately goes to that previous default Gmail account and then prompts me for "mail server password required".

The strange thing is that the other remaining three Gmail accounts which have identical settings do not create a problem.

how can I make this stop for once and for all?

My Thunderbird is completely updated. Since July I have found it impossible to consistently send emails. I checked my outgoing settings and they are fine. I have no anti-virus (I'm using a Mac). When I turn off the firewall, I can send one email out, sometimes two, then they will no longer go out. I tried deleting Thunderbird from the firewall, then adding it again. Nothing doing. This occurs with both email addresses I use.

Should I remove Thunderbird from my computer and start over? Or is it a lost cause?

The title says it all. Almost always when I create a folder or subfolder I do this because I want to move some messages into it. So it would be great if the action of creating folder would immediately push it into the "Recent" list. It's only a small improvement, of course, but I imagine that would be very easy to implement.

I've created the App password on https://account.live.com/proofs/AppPassword In Thunderbird I create a new account and I enter my hotmail.com email and the created password

The password is not accepted.

I search here for help but it seems not to work in the described way

Today I can not access my thunderbird email. Must be the Google issue, worked yesterday. I have updated to the latest 91.10.0 release and still have the issue. Appears the update that should have updated the settings for this google situation, did not apply. Followed the instructions for possible correction: changed the accept cookies to all copies and always. Do not see a Config Editor under the General Preferences. At least not an area labeled as such. Do not know the status of javascript within my system. Current passwords do not have the oauth preceding any password. What steps should I take to correct this issue and be able to retrieve my emaii? Hello, I have my thunderbird data files (emails, etc.) on a separate drive. I had windows, apps on an SSD. The ssd got corrupted so I had to reinstall. Now I need to have Thunderbird point to the files on the separate drive. I have been trying to figure it out from your support articles but it gets way too confusing, especially since the new version of Thunderbird is different from the version I had before. Since the December Thunderbird update some emails are not appearing in my in box. They are there because when I I do a search they come up. They appear if I use Outlook but not Thunderbird. How do I get help to resolve the problem. Are other people experiencing the same problem but ike me do not know how to report it
