Hello.

Is there an "auto correct" for Thunderbird 91 Windows 10 Desktop Home Edition, like there is in Word Documents?

If not, why not? If there is, would this be an 'add-on' that I could download?

NOTE: I am not meaning a 'spell checker'.

I have only ever had one email address on Thunderbird for the last 17 years or so and now I have added some more email addresses. Each email address is listed on the left, however, in other email platforms there is a generalised view with inbox, sent., deleted etc., on top of the separate email addresses so that you can see what's come in or gone out without going to each address and dropping down the menu on each one to see if you have emails. Is there a way to arrange this so that one has a general view of all one's email activities on top of the individual addresses just as they have in Outlook or Apple Mail please?

Hi I am trying to reset an email account that has changed its settings. I've managed to get it to download emails but it won't send them. Each time I try it tells me to check my Outgoing Server settings and change to OAuth2. But when I try to do that there is no entry for OAuith2 on the list offered. Help! Thanks Lynne

Can I keep Thunderbird settings and local folders synchronized between several computers by using syncthing or another sync tool? Or will this create a total meltdown?

Just Installed 91 - What have you done? I have been using computers for 40 yearS - they still do the same as they always did - true you have some nice add on like the calendar etc and thats great I loved TBird until now. On the good side it looks very pretty but I was happy enough before.

I was on 60 and it worked fine so why dick around with it to the extent you have.

The address book - what a waste of time setting that up at least 6 hours reinstalling mab to screwlite.

Adresses - only one TO address now - why? Move the TO CC box on top why?

Attachments - why change that?

All of a sudden today, emails are not being filtered until I open the inbox. Then, all of a sudden, the mails which have built up in the inbox for the last few hours suddenly get filtered into all the folders they are supposed to go to, and I receive the alerts that they've arrived, all of which they're supposed to do when they arrive, not wait until I manually open the inbox to trigger a filter.

This is a major problem for me. I have clients who I need to respond to promptly, and the way I know I have emails from them is that the emails appear in their client folders. If I have to open my inbox manually to get it to filter, then I will spend my whole day checking my inbox every 5 minutes, and I can't do that as I have actual work I need to do.

I am now several hours behind on my email, I have clients who think I didn't respond to them immediately. This is a huge problem for me. This whole system worked fine until yesterday and I haven't changed a thing about my Thunderbird setup.

How do I make sure my filters are always working as they should without me having to remember to check that they don't suddenly need to be manually triggered?

Help! I'm running Thunderbird 91.7.0 on a Win 7 computer. About four days ago when T'bird opened it asked me to set up a new account. I'm a geezer, not a techie and this is a serious problem for me. From what I've read it seems that T'bird doesn't know where to find the profile (?) it needs. I've managed to find where the profiles are, but I can't figure out how to re-create my old T'bird using them. Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

PS I've been using Thunderbird for 15 years or so and have never had a problem with it. it's great to use and I'm crippled with out it!

I need help right away in sending my emails. I've tried all of your help listed but nothing works. I was able to receive my emails right after getting a new computer with windows 11 but 2 weeks later I suddenly was not able to send anything. My provider Rise Broadband (FKA: Skybeam) said that it was because of Thunderbird as they got everything set up that should work but the send just will not work. I don't know how to get in touch with you as there is no phone number listed. Thunderbird does have the correct passwords. Could it be that Thunderbird is wanting to put skybeam.com instead of the current securemail.risebroadband.net? Please get in touch with me regarding this issue...please! Every few minutes when it automatically checks if I've got incoming email, Thunderbird (78.13.0) pops up a window that says:

Unsent Messages X ? Do you want to send your unsent messages now? □ Always ask me when I go online [Send Now] [Later]

I don't remember what these unsent messages were, and do not want to send them until I see them and perhaps decide to delete them instead of sending. I understand that unsent messages are "supposed to be" in the Outbox, but my Outbox is empty! I keep getting this annoying pop-up that doesn't tell me where these messages are or allow me to access them. Where are they? How can I access them? Thank you. (P.S. Please don't tell me to upgrade to a more recent version of Thunderbird. That's not the problem!)

Is there a way to require Thunderbird to ask before emptying the trash folder? It will ask if I... click on/try to delete... a single message from the trash folder but does not ask when I click/try to empty the trash folder...sometimes I really wamt that second or two to quickly review....

I'm trying to add another member to an existing email list. I open the list by choosing Edit, select the name I want from my address book, click OK. When I go to the list, the name I added isn't there. Why?

Hi. Last two days, T-bird has taken to showing the wrong sender's address - but only sometimes, which makes it odder. For example 3 e-mails from Union Local de Montpellier are listed as coming from Language Log: the first is a trade union organisation telling me about demonstartion for higher wages and union training, while the latter is an academic website for linguisticians. Strangely enough, I am on the mailing list for both.

One example attached. (Note: Language Log is a US site, that operates on Wordpress. If you can help I would be very grateful.

I think my question sums it up. I have two active personal accounts, and one that's been inactive for two years: my former business email account. Each time I boot Thunderbird I get an error message saying that I can't log into the account (I broke the vital forwarding link that used to point to my local server), and I'd like to eliminate the need to close the two error windows that always pop up. But I'm afraid that if I delete the account or change something in its "Settings" that I'll lose my 10 years of collected and sorted emails.

I would be grateful if there is an answer to exporting the Thunderbird address book not in the .csv format into my Win 10 downloads file. I have had a new PC and had a nightmare sorting out my address book. A CSV app restored them but all over the place and have spent hours sorting the name and email addresses. I have tried copy and paste, no luck. Tried all the five 'save as types' but again no real success. I want save them in a simpler fashion. The font cannot be used when creating a message "arial narrow" Is there any way to install and use it? The font works in office applications, but thunderbird does not have it. How to restore and use it ??

I have lost my computer in a lightning strike and had Thunderbird on the old one. I use Linux mint and Thunderbird was preinstalled. But I can't use it because it always asks me for a password. I never used a password on my old computer and so I am stuck with using the web based email. What is the problem? Were do I get that password from? Do I need it at all?

I am closing out an old cable company account, but want to use Thunderbird to download and save my email from this account before closing it. Will closing this account (POP3), which would delete the emails from the host server, in any way affect my copy of those emails?

Once the account is cancelled, can I stop Thunderbird from trying to access the host server for email updates?

Am I correct in assuming I can't delete the non-existent email account from Thunderbird if I want to keep the emails from that account on my computer?
