One of my calendars is not syncing. The same account (O365) also is not syncing the sub-folders.

Not sure what setting may be off.

I added some events from Outlook for Android on my phone sync'd to the same account. But they don't seem to appear, although they are on Outlook Web Access on the browser on my Windows machine.

I am trying to add a secondary Comcast email account to T-Bird. The primary account was added OK. This is a sub account of the top one.

Note, I have 2 other computers and I was able to add this sub account easily, but that was some years ago.

When I go through the motions of adding my email address and password, when I click "Done" a window pops up with the massage "Secure Connection Failed" The error code is PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR.

When setting up the primary account, the little window asked me my password then asked if it was OK for T-Bird to access the account. This was as normal like all the Gmail ones I did.

But it seems this sub account cannot be added.

Any Ideas?

Thunderbird 115.10.1 (64-bit), no extensions or add-ons Ubuntu 23.10, AMD64 Earthlink ISP and email

Start Thunderbird, go to Drafts folder, open email, click Send, get Send Message Error (see error.jpg) in about two seconds.

There is no request for password, I do not save any passwords. When I Get Messages, a password is requested and I receive the messages. If I try to send after getting messages, same error.

Thunderbird settings are as Earthlink specifies for POP3:

See smtp.jpg. Earthlink user support said to use "Authentication method: Encrypted password". Have also tried "Authentication method: Normal password", got similar error message.

The last time I successfully sent a message was a year ago, this is the first time trying to send since then. There have been OS and Thunderbird updates in between, probably some Earthlink changes too.

Somehow, the "auto-BCC" feature in one of my Thunderbird accounts has been activated. How can I disable that? When I open an email now (in my 'in-box'), it automatically fills in "To" and "From" fields. I no longer get my 'in-message' toolbar in the upper right-hand corner of the message window (tab). I also no longer get the notification that "Thunderbird has blocked remote content..." How can I restore this without deleting and rebuilding the account? I'm sure this was mistakenly activated but it needs to go away!!!

On a further note, I have found that if I move a message from my in-box to ANY other folder, I get the normal message view, with all the correct toolbars and indications and controls! Attached are the correct and incorrect screenshot of the same message, just in different folders.

I am now using Outlook (imap). When I try to permanently delete a bunch of emails it deletes them and then I get a synchronizing inbox bar and the 1,000 or so emails come right back into my inbox. How do I avoid this if I am using Thunderbird?

Example: Have 9600 emails delete 2500 and notifies me that they will be permanently deleted but they never are. They just return a few minutes later. Thanks

As of Supernova update it would seem, thunderbird is unable to fetch favicons for newly added feeds. They will always display a globe favicon, instead of the respectful favicons.

Worse still, it would seem like removing a feed from the folder doesnt revert it to the folder favicon, but rather keeps the globe!

is there a way to force thunderbird to fetch relevant favicons, or add ones manually?

Hello, I would be grateful for help onm the two following problems in Thunderbird. 1. When someone sends me a web page link, I click on it and get the error message 0x80070057. I have tried the suggested solutions in regedit but it does not work. 2. When I buy something on ebay they send me an email confirmation with a picture of the item purchased. When I go to print it the image disappears.

I am losing what hair that I have left as I am a senior citizen.

Hi folks

When viewing some [not 'all'] PDFs I've created via T'bird's inbult PDF preview on my W10 Desktop PC an annoying black blob in the shape of a car key now appears on the PDF's pages from page 2 onwards. When viewing the same file via an iOS device or inside Dropbox there is no black blob. Also, when viewing the same file via the full Adobe Acrobat APP on my W10 Desktop PC there is no black blob. This black key-shape blob only shows inside T'bird's inbuilt PDF previewer.

I know how to change the preview function inside Tbird to instead open any PDF in Acrobat, but as I quite like the T'bird PDF preview feature does anyone know why these black keys are appearing and how to get rid of them?

Further info: The only PDFs with the black blobs are those created via my W10 Desktop PC's PowerPoint APP's "Save as Adobe PDF" function. There is no such black blob on the PowerPoint pages themselves, and again no blobs appear when viewing the new PDF on any iOS device or within Dropbox. Additonally, and since writing the above lines, I have emailed the PDF to a friend who has opened it on his W10 Laptop and there are NO [again, NONE] black blobs on his screen [he uses Outlook as his email handler]. Thus, I feel certain the problem is within T'bird's PDF preview code.

Is there any fix for this?

Thunderbird takes a long time to open?? First it displays a blank page Then blank page marked: loaded Then it opens on the email account I saved the Profiles folder I carefully uninstalled, cleaned and rebooted, then reinstalled the latest version and replaced the Local folder in the new Thunderbird to find all my local folders Version 115.10.2 (64 bits) Win 10 Home 22H2

I have a problem every time I close thunderbird, a few seconds later at least another two programs start up on their own. Its usually the Whatsapp desktop app or google games. Some times something from Nvidia will pop up.

Hi. I have this strage problem X writes a mail to "support". "Support" is a distribution list. I receive that mail

I then reply to X. Sender is "support" as it is defined as an Identity under the main mailbox Also there is a rule in that identity to sens a cc copy to support itself (so collegues belonging to list "support" receive a copy)

I then need to send a second email to X, starting from the sent message (as it is a follow up)

So i go under "sent mail", i find the message i sent previously, having from "support" to: X cc "support"

(1) I click reply and i get a message with: - from "support" - to "support" - cc "support"

So "X" has disappeared

(2) Note I have no button "reply to all", but if i right click the masse and the "reply to all", i got a good message with: - from "support" - to "X" - cc "support"

Hope this is clear. Someone can help ? My need is click reply and get result as described at (2) Thank you

Using Thunderbird on Linux I cannot delete any local folders, when I try to delete them I get more copies of the folders on reopening Thunderbird, after the system says it is "not responding" and I close it down. I have tried several times and now have multiple copies of the local folders I've tried to delete.

Hi:

I'm a longtime ubuntu (lubuntu, actually) user, and upgrading LTS versions every 2 years has been pretty easy til now: all I had to do was copy my .thunderbird folder to the home directory of the new system.

When I do that now for the pre-release version of lubuntu 24.04,, the new Thunderbird requires setting up the new profile from scratch, which is a pain, since I use T-bird for multiple accounts.

Is there an easier way of migrating my emails from my old profile to the new system?

I have set up my google calendars in Thunderbird so I can have a shared work calendar.

The calendar has the "prefer client-side email scheduling" option enabled, and the correct email (my work email) is selected, yet invites are still being sent out from my gmail account.

Checked everything. Not sending after upgrade. Is sending in troubleshooting mode.

No add-ons.

Not anti-Virus or firewall issue because I shut them down. to test. With both on it sends in troubleshooting mode.

I have spent many hours combing thru possible solutions.

My email server changed recently from one IMAP server to another. Since the change, Thunderbird keeps marking some messages as Unread. Often these are old messages, reveived weeks or months ago and definitely have been read. The process appears to be random: I laboriously work through multiple folders, marking them as Folder Read. Only to find, next time I open Thunderbird, that there is a new set of messages and folders flagged as Unread. In Settings I have 'Automatically mark messages as read - Immediately on display' checked, which is the desired and normal behaviour. I'm stumped!

I've been using T-Bird for about 15 years, or more. On May 8th it stopped working - unable to receive or send e-mail. I'm using T-Bird 115.10.2 (64-bit) and I've been running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit since 2012, and have no intention of upgrading to a new OS. If I do upgrade to a new OS, it will probably be the latest Mint Linux, as I installed an earlier version of Mint a few years ago to check it out as an alternative to Windows.

I have a 3.2GB AMD CPU and 16 GB RAM. Luckily I can access & use my AT&T Mail at currently.com, but I like T-Bird a lot better. T-Bird has essentially worked flawlessly for me all of these years - until now.

I have re-set my AT&T Mail password 2 times and also tried my AT&T Mail's "Secure Mail Key" from 2020, which is supposed to "never expire" - to no avail! T-Bird does not like any of these Passwords.

So it appears to me that T-Bird is now dead.

And so I am looking around for the best new e-mail client to use.

I am reluctant to try uninstalling T-Bird and re-installing it, out of fear that I'll lose all of my T-Bird data (folders, files, settings, etc.).

Also, I just found a recent article that claims that T-Bird will no longer work with Windows 7 after "late 2024." So I wonder, if the Thunderbird team has already euthanized T-Bird.

I shall greatly appreciate it if you can help bring my T-Bird back to life.
