Hi,

It used to be that I could add a new filter at the top of the list, and then hold down Alt-D while the key repeat would make the filter scroll down at the repeat rate until I released the key. It was easy to add an entry and move it quickly to the right position. Now that no longer works: I need to hit Alt-D or tap the Move Down button repeatedly to do the same thing.

I have about 300 filters that are stored alphabetically, so tapping a key or a button on average 150 times to position the filter is a pain. I know I can scroll the filter cursor to the right position and then add, but that doesn't work when I right click on the From field of a message I want to make a filter from to create a filter for it.

Am I missing something? If not how would I request changing the key repeat for Alt-D or Alt-U so it works like it used to?

I am using a Mac with Big Sur (macOS Monterey, Version 12.7.4), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 115.9.0. I retrieve the mail header first, then I click on "Download the rest of the message" if I wish to read the full message. When I click "Download the rest of the message" to see the contents of the actual message Thunderbird downloads the rest of the message but then displays the next message in the list of messages.The message I had wanted to read now becomes the previous message in the list. I then have to go back and click on the message itself to see its contents. Please correct.

I have tried every password I have ever had,currently use or possibly will use ,I feel this is the basic problem at present. For the last 3 days, all emails I send to an outlook address are bounced. Multi address mails are received by the others but if the recipient is an outlook address those all are undelivered. My ISP says this is a Thunderbird issue. When I sent the emails from my ISP's email webpage the outlook mails are delivered.

This is what I think:

The release notes reiterate that the version is only available as a direct download. One can only assume that if 102.1.0, for example, is already installed, that there must be some preferred procedure for using the download to update the existing installation.

Unfortunately there is no mention of any such procedure. There is no README. There is no INSTALL file. There is an executable called updater but running it yields:

Usage: updater patch-dir install-dir apply-to-dir [wait-pid [callback-working-dir callback-path args...]]

which is far from explanatory.

Since these updates are obviously generated by some sort of build script, it would seem to be a simple matter to add or clarify the update procedure. Once done, the work would not need to be repeated.

I would urge the developers to remember that not everyone who uses Thunderbird is a mozilla developer. The users lack many of the skills and background that are second nature to the developers. Without a bit more clarity, the average user cannot benefit from all the developer's hard work unless they can actually install the updates.

今回のトラブルは、ver:102.2.2 (64bits)にバージョンアップした時点 でログイン出来なくなり、パスワードの変更を求められました。

現在の状態は、次の通り順番に内容を連絡いたします。 1.プロバイダがYahoo!JAPANからパスワード変更しました。(XXX図) 2.その後にログインした処、ログインに失敗しましたとの表示(CCC&  DDD図)されました。 3.そこで、メールアドレスのセットアップ(BBB図)しました。 4.次に当ソフトからツール>設定>プライバシーとセキュリティ>パスワード>  保存されているパスワードを開いたら、何と送信メールのプロバイダが欠如  していました。(AAA図) 以上が現状です。9/10頃から発生していますので、早急に対処手順を当GMAIL に回答返信お願いします。

尚、パソコン2台-メールアドレス:win81web@ybb.ne.jpの環境は次の通りです。 1.NEC VN770RSR Windows8.1>10 Ver.21H2 bilts.19044.2006 (windows11-NO) 2.Dell Inspiron5570 Windows10 Ver.21H2 bilts.19044.2006 (windows11-OK)

My wife has both work & personal accounts on Thunderbird. She is experiencing sending mail in her work account. The personal account is fine. She get an error message mf-204. (authenticated connections only. please check that you email address is correct in account settings) None of her settings have changed, but it suddenly won't allow outgoing mail. Any suggestions on how to correct this?? Can I set up a new account and just transfer all of the old folders into it?

people keep saying Mozilla support is really good, but that's not what i (and loads of others) are currently experiencing. it's been six days now, and not a word from Mozilla about the disastrous car crash that is 102.2.2. missing emails and folders, search problems, duplicate emails in the Inbox. i see no actual improvements at all. did they ever test it? why couldn't all this new stuff be modular, so we didn't have to have it if we didn't need all the chat, and the calendar, and all the rest of it, just to send and receive emails? why did they go from version 91 to version 102? that in itself is suspicious. when are we going to hear from them, and what are they going to do about it? six days is too long to hear nothing.

At a point this evening, I was unable to send mail using Thunderbird. SMTP outgoing mail.wowway.com Port:587 Shows error message: Error message: C20 from mail server. Just so you know WOWAY.com is Wide Open West located (HQ) in Colorado. They employ Synacor to do their email server needs, great, another variable. I need to send email, from this desktop workstation. Clue, I even use win 7 sp1 on a self built rig that matches the hardware and software. BUT, believe it or not, today was update Tuesday which is just a security rollup from Microsoft these days. Hmmmm. I have tried everything. Thunderbird ver: 102.2.2 (32 bit) although my whole system runs on 64 bit. Sounds almost patchworthy, I'm not the only one.

Dear all, I have a couple of calendars on the disk as network calendars (file:///...ics) with offline support, and I just realized that I cannot delete any event. These calendars are not read-only, I can see the option delete, both with right-click on the event and double-click to edit the event, but after pressing delete, the event remains on the calendar. Just pressing the delete button on the keyboard after selecting the event has the same behaviour. If I try shift the events from one calendar to the other, they do appear in the new calendar, but they do not disappear from the old. I have restarted Thunderbird, and also tried this on another computer with the same results. Both szstems are Windows 11, Th underbird 115.10.1 I would be very grateful for any suggestions

Almost every time I start Thunderbird it says I have to restart to complete an update. It seems to be in an update "loop". It advises an update is available but it's 102.2.0 which is already installed! And this interference perhaps is causing the program lock up when I delete some read messages, so the only way out is a shutdown via Task Manager.
