We have this scenario that Company A has 70 users and Company B also has 70 users. We wanted to group each users per company, is it possible? I always find that the mailing lists are being grouped but not the user accounts.

Hello, I moved Thunderbird data to a new computer according to your instructions via a USB drive On the target computer everything goes well until point 9 of your instructions. "Choose to replace your current data when prompted." However, this screen does not appear. I open Thunderbird, but then only the screen to enter the email data appears. So Thunderbird does not open with complete data. What do I do? I'm wrong.

When I send an email, I get the following, "Your message was sent, but a copy was not placed in your Sent folder due to network or file access errors. What can I do?? I have 9 email accounts configured in Thunderbird (TB). I typically have a half a dozen tabs open at a time in TB, generally the same half a dozen. For at least a year now when I re-open TB the same number of tabs open, with the last-selected tab selected. So far all is well, except that the selected tab switches from the email account that it was open in against when I shut down TB to the first account in the Folders pane. I then have to switch it back to the correct account every time. It's gotten annoying enough that I've now joined this Support site so I can ask how to fix this. I tried the "open the profiles folder, quit TB, delete the session.json file and re-open TB" dance, but all that did was cause it to forget all of the previously opened tabs. I re-opened them in the desired order, selected the 4th one at random, then quit TB. When I re-started it, the 4th tab was selected, but the content was the first account in the list instead of the one it should have been. For reference purposes, all the other tabs still have the appropriate accounts open in them. I have the same version of Thunderbird installed on 2 different Windows 10 computers, and both of them are manifesting this behavior. I'm currently running TB 102.10.0 (32-bit). Please advise as to how I can fix this. If there is any other information that I can gather that will assist you with resolving this issue please let me know. As an example, I might order a flashlight from a vendor. I would have received an order confirmation by email, and then might get another message when it is delivered. But depending on the vendor's practices, these messages might not say "flashlight." A year later, suppose I want to know where I ordered the flashlight. If the messages refer to an order number but do not say "flashlight", I don't have a simple way to find this out. What I would like to do, when I archive the message (or subsequently), is to edit the body (or subject) to include this keyword. Is there any straightforward way to do this in Thunderbird? Thanks for any advice.

I was recently alerted by Tbird that I had been spoofed (I think it had been in 2021 but was certainly some time ago). I had problems with my BT email a short while ago due to a problem with SMTP which was successfully resolved and a new password applied. Since this was some time after the recorded pwning I assumed that the necessary change had been made. However, after months of no spoofing I am now receiving regular spoofs. Can the spoofers have been alerted by the pwning notice?

Seriously I spent over 2 hours now just finding out how to fix the email grouping in Thunderbird and getting run everywhere for tips that did not work.

Just geting told over and over on every tip site to go to each folder and click view then click unthreaded. Well guess what that did not work for me and I have over 100 mailboxes I am monitoring. The view thing did not work and I did that in more than 5 maiboxes which still remained threaded.

Well anyway and just so everyone knows. The view thing does not work for everyone and this may not either for everyone in all of time but it is much easier.

What you have to do if that is not working is click the very first button at the top of your mail list that when hovered over says "Display Message Threads". Actually try that first. One click and done (Or, 2 clicks and you are back in the same state. So do not double click. Just one click is good enough)

Then your messages will stop threading themselves.

Really just a tip that can save others hours I hope. Just click the first Icon above your mail list that when hovered over says "Display Message Treads"

Done, wish I had known this over 2 hours ago. Just click that icon at the top of the mail list. Then done no more grouping the emails.

Thunderbird is a great mail program. I hope it stays around for a long time. It beats Outlook 1000% lol yeah for realists there is no more than 100 so yeah 100. But if you listen to Sheldon Couper from the Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon there is no such thing as Zero so wow mind blown there could be 1000% haha. Just a joke everybody knows that zero is just a frame of reference so there is no way it does not exist but does it haha joking again.

I had a crash on my desktop PC, possibly due to an erroneous action of mine, which occurred on December 20th, which has ended with my PC, which after entering the password, the screen locks to black.

I turned to my laptop as a salvation, but when I tried to open my email, for which I use Mozilla Thunderbird, at first I opened the home page, but my email accounts did not appear. Currently, it doesn't even open that page when you tap on that desktop icon.

I'm an 80-year-old male and I'm getting more and more clumsy with the SW of the PC, so I pray that if you can help me it's in a language for the very clumsy in computer matters. I don't speak English so this is automatically translated, so I would appreciate it if you could help me in Spanish to restore my email accounts, since I am no longer used to using Web mail.

My PC is an HP Pavilion x360 -14-cd0018ns, I5 core 8th Gen. / W10 home/ HD ext. 3TB for data.

I downloaded Mozilla for e-mail last night as I currently only use IOS on my iPhone and haven't used a desktop e-mail programme for a long time.

It struggled with my configuration settings and when it finally accepted them I clicked done and it has been sat on the "checking password screen for the last 10 hours or so.
