Transfer various email files in a folder in ThunderBird to a bookmark folder on the same computer.

I started a project not to long ago. I received various emails trying to help out. Since I have 2 computers I would like to combine all the emails onto my primary laptop. Once this done, I would like to create a new file in the bookmark section and transfer everything into it. Copy and paste does not work and I do not often use links except when I create V lockups in Excel.

Can what I what to do be done??? Both computers are Windows 10. I really would like some input on this matter.

Thanks in advance,

Bruce

I just updated my Dell Windows v7 to Windows10 and am now experiencing email client issues that i have never experienced before. I also use AVG Internet Security. When I download email from my ISP email server, almost invariably when I click on an email, or try to delete emails, the Thunderbird screen will 'lock' and I get a "(Thunderbird is) not responding" at the top. My options are to minimize the email client window (and wait it out) or exit Thunderbird which yields a Windows message: Windows is looking for the problem" and then 'doink' it is gone. On reopen, associated (clicked on) emails, are deleted; sometimes other emails from that download will also be gone, forever from my client and from the server (I have download emails and delete from the server checked). This is NEW BEHAVIOR with my recent Windows10 upgrade. No new add-ons have been installed and no other settings have been changed from the Win7 install. I have tried deleting Thunderbird (38.6.0) and downloading it new from Mozilla and reinstalled using my maintained profile but this did not fix anything (the presumption being a corrupted install). I did not clear any cache or anything else, do maybe corruptions were extended into the new install. I am at a loss. But, this unsteady email business is very time wasting and data losing. Thank you.

Hi. I have been using this program for about a year with no issues whatsoever. Suddenly, the program hangs and freezes upon launch. I have read several of the same problems on here, and have tried all of the solutions recommended and still no resolution. The only thing I have not seen mentioned in the other problems is that in my case I have to ALWAYS logout of my current session of windows and then log back in to close Thunderbird. Closing it from the task manager does nothing. I have also noticed while in the task manager that the memory usage of Thunderbird climbs. Maybe that will direct someone to suggesting something that has not been tried....

In the mean time, is there some kind of utility or another program that I can use to import or convert my email to another format in the event that this does not get resolved and am required to remove it from my computer?

Hi, first off I really like using Thunderbird! Lately an annoying issue has been happening where I'm unable to refresh my inbox and the connection to my outlook account craps out (e-mails disappear and the inbox cannot be accessed). Restarting Thunderbird / my PC seems to help, but the same thing happens again not too long afterwards. Attached is the error message that pops up every time this happens.

Please let me know if anybody can come up with a solution. Thank you very much!

I'm running Thunderbird 38.1.0 on Windows 10, and it keeps freezing. There had been no issues with Thunderbird prior to the Windows 10 upgrade. I already saw the usual "helpful" suggestion that it is not Thunderbird, but faulty drivers. Funny how the first reply is always, it's not our programme, but your system.
