With the moving of Cox emails to Yahoo would it be feasible for Thunderbird to put an instruction list(with screenshots) of how to get all our TB email accounts from Cox to TB? Do we have to delete all our TB email accounts and re-enter them into TB under the new Yahoo or can we just change the server settings on the existing Cox settings? If just changing server settings what are the settings for the new yahoo? All my accounts are IMAP so if instructions could be made, maybe one for IMAP and one for POP for those who use either. Every year I am required to update my university's net id password. Normally T'bird responds asking for a password update. Not this year; I am just cut off.
I followed all instructions from the T-help site. But it is impossible to update the "saved password." "edit" is not allowed.
When T-bird did ask me to connect via Google, see the screen shot, the next screen locks with a 403 error message, also attached.
I would like to continue to use Tbird, but this is making it impossible. My university's IT people had me download the T-bird again, but the problem persists.
Please advise soon.

After clicking the Thunderbird to enter my email the whole system goes through connecte3d to uepat624@gmail.com then up comes a message from Thunderbird indicating "you may have too many cached connections use IMAP Advanced Settings to reduce cached connections" Then things continue on for probably 5 to 10 mins. sending login info, looking up IMAP, checking mail server capabilities, looking for folders, sending login, opening folder box, downloading
Eventually email inbox and messages come up. I can send, receive and send mass mailings but when you read a message and want to go back to the inbox you have to scroll all the little boxes at the top of the screen back to the one that says "inbox".

First up, I'm a happy user of Thunderbird with some years of experience. I make use of filters, and up until about 2 weeks ago they all worked. Now two of my filters (not all) have stopped working automatically, and I have to go to Tools/Message Filters and run them manually.
I'm on TB 102.15.1.
I have deleted the non-working filters and re-created them. No change in behavior.
I would NOT like to de-install/re-install TB because it's a good deal of work, and TB is a critical system for me.
That said, I keep a laptop computer for travel, and the filters work on that platform. IS THERE A WAY to copy a file or folder over from the working laptop onto my desktop machine, where the filters have failed?

I'm using thunderbird on a macbook pro (sonoma 14.2.1).
I had to reinstall one of my email accounts on Thunderbird. After reinstalling it, I had lost all my emails and folders on Thunderbird. The good news is that I could find these files on my hard drive.
I successfully imported the folders but I can't import my emails again. These are saved in a Mozeml format. I have tried to import them - with the add-on ImportExportTools NG - copy-pasting the emails directly on the new account in the Finder
But non of these two options work and I thus only have access to the emails since the reinstallation of my email account on thunderbird.
Do you know how I could import emails in a Mozeml format into Thunderbird?
Let me know if you need more information to understand my question.

Should I delete thunderbird and then install a 2020 version where this was not a problem or is there a way to solve the problem with the latest current version

Numerous users of Thunderbird have expressed their total dissatisfaction with the recent upgrade, especially the new font and layout in the email lists. Why has the Mozilla team ignored requests to return to the previous load to restore the font and list displays? Do you expect users to support your product when they totally do not like the new version?
I set my view of my accounts to UN-threaded and Thunderbird keeps resorting back to threaded. This is becoming very annoying, how can I make it stop.

Open thunderbird up and want to print an email. Most of the time the printer is the default. Once I print and then go to the next email to print, the default printer is gone and the only option is save to PDF. I can close thunderbird and reopen it and seems to alleviate the issue for a few times then back save to PDF only. Strange issue. I have reinstalled thunderbird a few times. All other programs on the pc I print from always use the defaut printer.
