I'm using Thunderbird Supernova, Can anybody tell me why I have (a DRAFT and DRAFTS) folders? When I save my emails for later they are saved in the DRAFTS folder, the DRAFT folder appears not to be used. I have tried to delete it but guess it must be some sort of system folder. Any help please. Thanks

Greetings: This is the third time that I am contacting you about not being able to receive any e-mails. Thunderbird is the only one that I use and haven't been able to receive any new e-mails for the past week or so. You notified me that my account had been compromised or words to that effect, and that I needed to create a new password. I did this(with a bit of difficulty) and still have no new e-mails coming in to this account. I did try to SEND an e-mail out, and at first it stopped me for my NEW password. I gave it, and it then allowed the e-mail to go out just fine. I sent one or two more since then and they too seemed to have worked fine. For some unknown reason though, I STILL am NOT receiving any new e-mails. Can you please help me with this problem? NOTE: As I am STILL NOT able to receive any e-mails, would it be possible for you to send me any possible solution for this problem via my regular USPS mailing address? David Beard [removed address info from public support forum] Thanks much for any help you can supply.

Hi I shop online with Sainsburys. Until about a month ago everything was working fine but now when I make an order or amend the existing order the email from Sainsburys does not come in. I have the email 'service@sainsburys.co.uk in my address book both on Thunderbird and Talktalk. Now, I changed my email address with Sainsburys just to see what would happen and the shopping order confirmation email came in fine but if I use my normal email address nothing is getting through by email. Sainsburys have offered some advice to no avail so now I ask you - how can I get back my emails coming in when I order from Sainsburys? May I add that the Tesco site works fine. I wonder if it is from the 'glitch' sainsburys had a few weeks ago when all orders were deleted etc? Thanks for any help at all. Regards

Hi – I have been with Thunderbird for a while now but didn’t use your email program as I have been using Gmail for several years and still do. When I finished with my previous ISP, I copied the folders holding all my old emails to the hard disk on my PC. Is there any way I can use Thunderbird to read/delete these emails using my hard drive as the source and without using an ISP?

Thunderbird cannot read recovered emails in Outlook Inbox

While managing my Thunderbird Inbox, I inadvertantly transferred a chunk of Inbox messages received from my MS Office365 Outlook account into the trash. I went into Outlook on the WebApp and discovered that all of the inadvertantly deleted emails were found under recover deleted emails. So within Outlook I recovered all mails into the Inbox. So far, so good.

Now I have all the mails listed in the Inbox on Outlook. But when I open Thunderbird again, the recovered mails do not show up. It seems that Thunderbird does not fully synchronize the folder and the recovered emails are not downloaded. Instead, all mails are once again removed from the Outlook Inbox. The previously recovered mails disappear again from the inbox of OWA and I have to recover them all again.

I have already tried several fixes. Within Outlook, I created a new folder and moved the recovered Inbox mails to that folder. This was done in the hope that this folder will then sync properly with Thunderbird. Unfortunately no. The folder does not sync and as soon as Thunderbird is closed again, all mails are deleted again from the new folder on OWA.

I also deleted the Outlook account (including all stored data) and recreated the account in Thunderbird. Unfortunately, the same thing happens again. The recovered mails are not displayed in Thunderbird and after closing the program, the mails are deleted again in OWA and I have to recover them again. Finally I went so far as to uninstall Thunderbird completely from my computer and reinstalled the software. That did not fix the problem either.

I will also provide another observation: in the past when I have recovered individual emails the same behavior has occurred. Seems that when Outlook or Exchange places a deleted email into the recovery queue, there is a change in its identify such that TB now views it as a deleted message.

Any suggestions on how this can be fixed?

Best regards

My one iCloud email account has been working fine in TB for months. Today sometime TB (115.8.0) began unsubscribing all but a few of my iCloud email folders, including "Sent", "Trash" &c. All other email accounts in the client are unaffected. I resubscribed all of the folders, but they keep unsubscribing - that is, the subscribe process isn't holding and the folders it retains seem random. All the mail and folders on iCloud.com are intact, but TB will show them (some or most of them) briefly, then unsubscribe all but a few. I've tried deleting the account entirely (including data in Thunderbird folder) and re-adding - the problem persists. I've been bale to solve this one. Anybody?

I checked also in my Yahoo Mail and the contacts are also gone from there... I use IMAP, maybe that's the reason...

Can it be deleted? Is it serving a purpose?

I recently deleted old messages from the various Local Folders folders.

Thank you.
