I Have gone thru absolutely every menu setting visible in FF for Android... and there has been no current findable answer provided in the forums. What's the deal? This should be easy. If it's just no longer an option, please say so. There's Nothing under "Enhance Tracking Protection" whether OFF or "standard"; Nothing under "Customization"; Nothing under "Private Browsing"; Nothing under "HTTPS ONLY" -- Not when enabled or Disabled; Nothing under "Site Permissions"; Nothing under "Exceptions". Thank you!!

Hi there,

Is the script in this product bypassing Firefox privacy fences? I do not understand what they promote, but I have not a good feeling after reading their explanation. https://confection.io/scripts/click-engage-xbox-com/.

But I hope Firefox can do something against this possible new threat.

I use Dashlane password manager which only half works in Firefox on my Samsung s22 Ultra. I have to manually open Dashlane copy a password and paste it into Firefox. At that point it would automatically fill. But that's not the real problem. I opened up the clipboard and found a whole collection of my passwords. How do I set up Firefox to clear the clipboard on exit?

I am unable to find a way to remove a single unwanted URL from the suggestions list on Firefox for Android. If the website I want to go to (and that I go to regularly) is called abcxyz, and I went to website abcdef once, Firefox will always try to autocomplete the URL to abcdef even though I do not want to go there again. I have found instructions for how to accomplish this on PC, but they can't be followed on a mobile device. I have tried deleting the cookies, etc. for the unwanted website and removing it from my history, but without completely clearing out all browsing data for all websites (which I do not want to do), I haven't been able to figure out how to remove a single unwanted URL.

Can somebody sane please explain to me why firefox developers haven't implemented a smooth sync when there are Master Password's involved?

I use firefox in my desktop and in my phone and I can't get the passwords to sync due to my desktop having a master password (which firefox itself proposes to have set so that my passwords are safe) and Android not having that and so it can't decrypt the desktop passwords.

How difficult it is to make syncing between Desktop and Android firefoxes smooth when you have set a master password for the desktop version?

Even if FF for Android is not using a Master Password why doesn't desktop FF ask for the master password, the proceed to decrypt the passwords in the background and then using sync (which as mozilla says transmits passwords in encrypted form) send them to the mozilla servers? I mean even if I haven't set a Master Passowrd the passwords submitted to Mozilla servers during syncing are always stored decrypted in some way right?

Hello!

Firefox on Android won't display pop-ups. I've checked privacy setting but there's no checkbox for a popup blocker. Also tried about:config but didn't find any setting to change. Any ideas on how to be sure Firefox is comfigured to allow popups? I participate on a Zoom webinar and can't start Zoom through Firefox so have to use Chrome.

Thanks!

Hi. After your most recent update to the FireFox app on the playstore, I have noticed that the location setting on my app came enabled. Upon clearing it, it tells me that doing so will decrease the functionality of the app, and when I clear the app data the location permission is re-enabled. Is there anyway I can fix this? This is a big privacy concern for me.

Hello

Is it possible to enable a password protection when starting the Firefox app on Android ? In special when saved passwords are used they are entered automatically and there is no additional protection of those when going on a website for which the password was saved. E.g. when somebody unlock your device the person is able to start Firefox and going through chronic or pages where you might enabled automatically password fill in. Can this be protected by pin or fingerprint?(like in the Firefox Password manager)

Thank you

so i want to delete bookmarks, passwords, cookies, site history, everything!!!

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but somehow it didnt remove my passwords (and no i didnt enable sync after reinstall)

Reason: I have just spent a good amount of time cleaning up old passwords that i dont use anymore or have changed and not been updated from some reason. When i re-enable sync, I dont want the saved passwords from my phone to resync to my PC. To be absolutely sure that this doesnt happen i would like to just resync all the data to my phone from my sync account.

I have autoplay disabled. But there are some sites where I'd like it to remain enabled. There's an exceptions list in the site permissions settings page that includes autoplay. But there's no way to add a new site directly from there. Other support answers indicate that sites get added there when the site asks to do something, like send notifications. But there's no option to ask about autoplaying videos, and the sites I'm interested in aren't asking to do anything else, either.

So it seems like there's notionally the ability for there to be an exception for autoplay, but there's no way to actually tell Firefox to create that exception.

Please tell me how I can create a site exception for the autoplay setting.

Hi Firefox Team,

I think it is time for firefox to provide adblock as a default functionality or a feature where user can enable or disable. I see brave browser has that functionality by default. why doesn't firefox offer this aspart of it. Instead of I installing additional application or extension to block ads.

Could you please consider this in the next release?

Thanks,

Hi everyone, My android device has been thouroughly hacked, reconfigured and I was put under administration while the hijacking of my accounts took place. I have tried to sign up with one of my 3 outlook email addresses and none of them will work. I get to the part of sign up that says we've sent an email to the address I provided. I go to that inbox and there's an immediately received mail which doesn't allow for me to verify my email with the code. It just goes straight to an account. Where can I find out who's signed in where on which account and how do I find and unlink the devices being used to hack me so violently. Any advice would be great thanks so much guys

Dear Firefox Team,

I am writing to express my frustration with the practice of page-force blocking that is implemented by your browser in China. As a user, I have noticed that when a website is blocked by Firefox China, it only serves as an annoyance rather than actually solving the problem.

I have a few questions regarding this practice. Firstly, how does the idea of blocking websites by the browser to prevent users from accessing a website that China government doesn’t like actually work? Users can always switch browsers or use other technology if they want to access a website, so what is the point of implementing such a feature?

Moreover, I fail to understand why Firefox would choose to increase user annoyance by page-force blocking that user can’t turn off instead of solving the problem at hand. It seems that this approach only exacerbates the issue and causes more frustration for users.

In conclusion, I would like to request that the Firefox headquarter team reconsider their current approach towards blocking websites in China. Instead of page-force blocking, perhaps there are alternative solutions that could be explored to better address the issue at hand.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely, HZ

Good morning - I wanted to set up two-factor authentication with your browser for security reasons. A code comes up that one uses with one's phone. I connected with it, but I couldn't finish setting up the 2FA. Here's the problem: My Samsung Note 20 Ultra has fingerprint scanning on the screen. Since I bought it, I tried using the fingerprint feature, but it is a beast to get my prints scanned and then it can hardly ever scan my print successfully. So I gave up using fingerprints altogether. So I scan your code, and it wants me to do the whole fingerprinting thing with my phone in order to set it up. It doesn't give me the option to use the security that I did choose to use with my phone. Please advise how I can get 2FA without doing all of this. Thanks. Ritva

A scammer convinced me to allow access to the fraudulent site shelp.info despite the warning.

I've deleted the certificate of the site, cookies and stuff but now the website doesn't show the warning as potentially dangerous, which is what I want to have again.

I'm looking for the setting or allow list that may be enabling this so as to prevent it from happening again with other sites too.
