Hello all. I have a strange problem, sorry for the length. So I have a windows pc, and 2 android devices, a cell and a tablet. Sync has not really worked well for over 3 years, and I'm trying yet one more time to fix this. I honestly don't believe it can. Each device is pretty much on its own, so I do not see all of my articles/tabs on all 3. If you were to take a look at each, the tabs are all different. I've tried everything. So let me ask this: is there a way to manually do this? I guess I'll just have to do that. I've signed in and out on both android devices, hit the sync button on all 3, looked for updates on all 3, etc. My cell didn't even show up on my pc for 3 years. I don't want to mess with that one yet {cause it's windows}, I've gone into settings, tried what the articles suggest. Nothing. Weirdly, my bookmarks are fine {thank goodness}. Please help. I just started using Firefox for Android, as a workaround to the problems I'm having with playing my YouTube playlists.

But, I'm having several problems in Firefox for Android.

1. Playlists (the actual lists of videos) cover the video that's currently playing. My workaround to this is to play in full screen mode, but that brings up problem

2. Full screen videos automatically switch to landscape orientation, despite system settings, with no apparent way to switch back to portrait orientation without also exiting full screen mode. I've tried rotating my phone with auto rotate on/off; neither setting has any affect on the orientation.

What's extremely frustrating about this is that any workaround is actually a workaround to a workaround to a workaround; it's workaroundception.

What I really really want is to be able to simply play my playlist/listen to it without having to jump through hoops and without having to burn through data like a bonfire burns through sticks.

IMO, the best solution would be to download the entire playlist:

...in one go, and stick it on an mp3 player like it's 2009. So far, the only YouTube to mp3 sites I've found only download individual videos; not whole playlists. (And that's not really a Mozilla issue anyway; the Mozilla issues are the unwanted rotation and the video stack covering up the currently playing video.)

After installing a shortcut to a website that stages as an app through the Firefox Android app (Samsung 6.0, Android 14) when using said shortcut, if entering any text box the keyboard will pop up and rapidly close and open, making it unable to use. This problem happens on any text box, and with any keyboard. I'll attach a youtube link of a screen recording as well as a gif, though it's rather difficult to see the entire problem through a gif. For several months, whenever I need something auto filled, the only thing that pops up is a button that reads "Unlock Firefox" instead of the appropriate saved info. This button does nothing when tapped and when held down, there is tactile click, but then nothing.

Hey guys! so, for background, I'm using Firefox Beta on a Galaxy tab.

I have this thing when I use the browser in Multi Window and try to highlight a text by tap holding it. the pop-up menu (where you have options such as copy/cut and select, etc.) doesn't really show. this only happens to me on Firefox. what's up with that?

also, tapping a word twice doesn't select it even when I'm not using Multi Window... what's up with that?

There is a bug when accessing the desktop version of the website under the Android version of Firefox. Visit youtube.com on the Android phone, then click on the desktop version of the website, and then click on the video to go full screen. After going full screen, the bug appears: the control button under the video cannot be clicked. This bug does not appear in the Android version of Chrome browser

I use the Firefox app for Android on a regular basis.

For a long time I have found one unpleasant problem with tabs, when I open a new tab and notice that the remaining 107 old tabs are open, I cannot close all tabs except the current one. I can close all tabs, but the current one will close too. Sometimes I have to look for a link in the browsing history after that, it can takes several minutes. It would be convenient, in addition to the inactive tabs section, to be able to simply close everything except the current one.

Maybe there is already such a function without using third-party mods on Firefox?

Whenever i stream any kind of videos the bar on the top and bottom appears i want them to disappear so i can focus on my video only. Even if the bottom bar disappears the top bar still remains unchanged .

Firefox mobile sometimes zooms in without able to zoom out on all sites. Seems to only happen whenever the samsung app store updates it. for context, i downloaded firefox through google play store but the samsung store for some reason updates the app every now and then. It happened twice so far, and reinstalling it on the play store seems to fix it

I have my phone configured to route its DNS requests through a locally hosted DNS server. I noticed that the DNS requests made by my phone through Firefox are not routing through my local DNS server even though requests route through the server when using Chrome.[[ From what I could find online|https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1425188]] it sounds like DoH is not a feature on Firefox for Android so I am confused why my DNS requests made through Firefox on Android are not routing through the local DNS server. This issue does not occur on any of my desktops/laptops where I use Firefox to browse.

Please let me know if you have any other troubleshooting steps to try or any clarifying questions. Thank!

I have an issue with my keyboard not showing up when I try to type in search bars specifically when the sites are saved as app shortcuts. The keyboard works fine when the sites are tabs within the firefox app but once I save sites as a shortcut and open through the shortcut, the keyboard will appear for a split second and disappear right away.

I have the Goodreads app installed on my OnePlus 8 running Android 13.1. When I get emails from members who comment, instead of the app opening Firefox opens a tab after having cleared defaults. I have also selected the Ask When opening settings but nothing changes. Please explain how to fix this. Thanks

1- if you open a photo inside google search, you can't change the browser to Desktop mod

2- I was registering on one of the sites and i leave for second on another app... When i return i found that all the data that i enter to register was removed because firefox refreshing the page 🥲

The second issue need to be fix because i use another browsers when i want to register for Governmental things, for example, that require me to enter the passport number, which is in the photo gallery...

There is a lot of data that you entered and then it is deleted in an instant when you move to another application for a few seconds (there must be a strong temporary storage space

video on websites dont play very smoothly. they are always choppy, and look like they are playing on a really low frame rate. the same os true for youtube, instagram where it is very laggy when any video is played. ps. im on android, cant seem to open about:config area

A few weeks ago, I was having trouble logging into my Twitter account on Firefox (not on Edge). In an unrelated issue, I had to reformate my computer, and the problem went away. Today, Firefox updated itself, and the problem returned. I have it bookmarked as a pinned tab, and when I click on it, I get an error message, and it won't let me log in. However, if I right click on the same tab, and select "open in private window", it lets me log in, no issues. I don't really want to have a new window open though, and it worked after I reformatted, and before this update. I have done what previous people have suggested (clicking on the security icon to turn off security for that page), but it doesn't help. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks in advance...

I am a frequent user of Firefox on multiple platforms, including Android 14, where I frequently use DeX.

However, I am many times forced to use Chrome or Samsung Internet on DeX to get a professional computer desktop experience.

Firefox does not recognize different mouse button clicks and neither does it view websites with high resolution, not even after selecting "Desktop mode", but instead shows a zoomed-in phone view. (I gave tried selecting various zoom levels in settings.) There may be other shortcomings as well.

Perhaps some of the issues can be avoided by changing some settings? However, please address the issue of providing a full desktop experience in DeX. Thanks for a great browser in most other respects on multiple platforms.

I last updated Firefox on Feb 5, and had Ublock, Privacy Badger, and Search by Image we add-ons. Tonight, just randomly, I noticed that typed text wasn't appearing in the text box (although the suggestions showed up in the keyboard) at all on every webpage and site.

Uninstalling and reinstalling (along with the add-ons) did the trick. I am really curious what the root cause was. Hopefully nothing sinister.

I'm on a TCL 30XE 5G running Android 12.
