Firefox for Android Support Forum

I use Firefox on at least three different devices, and my Firefox account is linked on all these devises. And I have a huge amount of bookmarks, and almost daily create new bookmarks, as well as store links into existing bookmarks on my Linux Laptop. The problem is that when I then later use my Android smart phone or my Android Samsung Tablet, the bookmarks are not reflected in the same user friendly fashion as it was created or seen on my Linux Laptop. So much so that it is extremely user unfriendly and nearly impossible to store a link into an existing bookmark or to create a new sub-bookmark into an existing bookmark - also because the bookmarks can not be collapsed or navigated as easily as on my main device, which is the Linux Laptop. I need Firefox to reflect my bookmarks in exactly the same fashion and same order as I create them, and I need the bookmarks be be collapsable and navigable. I really want to use Firefox, but this disability forces me to now use Chrome, and I do not want that. Please fix the bookmarks in Firefox. Why were my bookmarks wiped out by April 2024 forced Firefox update to my Android Samsung S21 Ultra? 😡 Since I don't synch, can't find a way to restore my many bookmarks.

I have passwords and bookmarks saved on my desktop and laptop PCs. How do I import those to my Android and Apple devices with Firefox? I don't want to have anything in the "cloud", because of the possibilities of hacking. Thank you.

This solution does not work. Firefox on Android will display a "Did you use the system camera? You must pair from within the Firefox app." when selecting the QR scanner from the dialogue box in Firefox. The option is still missing in the menu as well.

Mam dużo otwartych kart. Po zamknięciu kilku kart, gdy wyjdę z aplikacji (zminimalizuje ją) i wejdę ponownie karty które zamknąłem nadal są otwarte. Tak jakby otwierają się na nowo. To bardzo duży problem, nie mogę zamknąć kart. Nie znalazłem nigdzie odpowiedzi na ten problem Proszę o pomóc Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Can anyone show me how to search on History or Bookmarks please. I use Android 11, and Firefox browser from Playstore. I can't find the search button on both History and bookmarks tab.

It would help the over-nesting of synced bookmarks on GF Android if a simple icon was added to that little zone on the right of the address/search box. Right next to the tab switcher.

The current interface and procedure to access synced Windows bookmarks on an Android device is really non-intuitive, click-intensive, and overall incredibly frustrating to use. A quick database search here indicates the issue has persisted for years.

The new function of searching bookmarks from the search box is limited unless the user has a phenomenal memory for webpage titles.

FF on Windows allows the placement of folders underneath the search box, which is incredibly convenient. A really useful extension, add-on, or core program revision could at least use an icon to more swiftly access synced bookmarks in the absence of a dedicated bookmarks toolbar.

It said all the bookmarks would be saved if I upgraded to the latest version but all the bookmarks on my phone are gone. Are their instructions on to restore bookmarks after doing the upgrades?

When can the feature to move multiple bookmarks at a time to a selected folder (i.e. move or copy & paste) be added into Firefox Mobile?

How ignorant that you can SELECT multiple bookmarks, but then the ONLY available option is to DELETE them, with NO option to move them to an already created folder. I don't WANT to sync because I have separate research topics on my laptop and on my smartphone, and want to KEEP them separate. A smarter option is to offer one repository for "Mobile" Firefox, and one for the Full Desktop Firefox, then allow SELECTED importing between the two. Why are you all handicapping yourselves like this? Each NEW "Mobile" version seems only to TAKE AWAY the most useful features (like printing) of the PREVIOUS version! :( When will it stop?

My mobile bookmarks stopped sorting based on date added on 4-25-2022 after 4:50 pm. I can fix this in windows by organizing the bookmarks and then cutting and pasting the problem bookmarks to the top. Is this a bug that will get fixed?

Can someone pls help me with this issue? After getting a new device and as per what Firefox sync should offer, I should have my bookmarks after signing in but nevertheless i can't find my bookmarks.pls help.
